Well, I guess if I wanted to say either one of those things, I would have.

What I can be 100% sure is this whole site will explode when the final announcement comes.

Likely NOT since she didn't say that. Or I missed it.

No she didn't.

Even if she did, I don't think she'd be wrong. The deal was agreed upon in principle, and the details of the deal caused it to not go through. The exact same thing could theoretically happen to the Stars deal should it be announced soon/ever. It just seems less likely, because Stars actually has money and stuff.

Please find the post from DF where she says those exact words. I bet you can't.

I was not asking for a specific day. But she seems to know more than me. And if you have certain information you also can make predictions. They do that in al sorts of areas. Sports, economy, war etc. She could be wrong but I wouldn't hold it against her. I just want to know if what is more likely. Days, weeks, months or years.

How much money does stars have and how much are they willing to put into the deal? Remember there's likely more liabilities then just player balances. FTP has other creditors that are going to want their piece as well.

Is selling a company even something the DOJ does/allowed to do or is better suited for bankruptcy court and to auction off assets.

Maybe I'm wrong and I hope I am but the whole idea that the DOJ is really going to sell FTP assets without the courts first looking into it to see who is a secured/unsecured creditor and without some kind of competitive bidding process or auction or w/e seems a little far fetched in someway at least that's what my gut tells me. I just haven't heard anything recently that should make anyone feel optimistic in any way shape or form about a deal being done.

Out of all of the variables involved with this discussion, the ability of Stars to have the money needed for the deal is the least of my worries.

I am not qualified to answer this. I'm sure FTP is still involved in some capacity with that side of the sale.

Not hearing anything actually makes me feel good about the deal. If this deal were to fall apart, everyone would know about it basically instantly because nobody would care about staying quiet anymore. That's why I kind of laugh when people say stuff like "omg it's been a week, deal must be dead!". When the deal is dead, you will know. I promise. You may know the deal is dead before it's even technically dead.

Sure, so the best thing is when we hear nothing for the next couple of years.
You must understand that some people need that money more than others. If I lose my empty wallet then there is no problem. If your child is missing you dont say "no news is good news, at least I don't know something terrible happened".

I know just as well as anyone. I have money locked up on FTP just like everyone else.

Your analogy makes no sense. If you knew the second your missing child died, someone would call you to let you know, you'd be thrilled everyday that the phone call didn't happen.

There isn't a single party involved in this process that benefits from it taking any longer than it has to. So they are working as hard as they can to get it done. That's all there is, and all there will be until we hear good or bad news.

Aren't the civil and criminal cases linked as far as Stars/Isai are concerned? With all the talk (aka rumor) that one of the reasons Stars is considering buying FT is in order to keep Isai out of jail, and opinions saying that because of this consideration it would be much better for this deal to happen after the sentencing of those already convicted, might this delay in sentencing also delay the deal?

Everyone is allowed to post their opinions, so I'm not sure why you would say that.

Unless your opinion would include "based on what I know from X inside source that I'm not allowed to name", there are no restriction on anyone posting their opinion based on what every knows (or think we know).

Except for the restriction on Davidian having another troll spaz out.

But even in those extreme cases, after a while they want to know the inevitable bad news and get on with their life.
I have reached that point. 13 months is too long. You might say "hang on, maybe a couple of weeks more". But it also might be a couple of months and when there is no deal another inverstor comes along and starts months of negotiations. I want to know it right now, good news or bad news.

They do not care if u want to know now, they do not care how badly u may need ur money, it's as simple as that.

No.
There is at least one defendant (Elie) that isn't scheduled to be sentenced until October, you wouldn't suggest waiting until then, right?

The Beckley sentencing rescheduling should have no effect on an announcement in the civil case re FTP.

L.

O.

L.

So when others claim that they know trades for FTP funds have happened because they've seen the posts in the HS thread, you refuse to believe it happened because there's no proof, but when you make a claim about a specific statement that you claim DF said, you refuse to back up your claim?

You have two hours to find a direct quote where DF said "it's a done deal" in reference to the GBT deal or you are banned from this thread. Time starts now.

Edit: I'll even help you out. Use this search function to find all posts by Diamond Flush. LOL that you have to look through all 29K posts. You only have to look through her posts.

2 hours better start searching.
