Wisdom teeth people. In US routinely pulled not as much in England. Also braces. Lots of teeth in US pulled for braces.

Technically I am missing six teeth but my teeth are fine. Straight. Clean. Only two cavities ever and I have never had a tooth fall out. All six were professionally extracted. They could be whiter but that is from lots of coffee and tea.

Harrahs Cherokee to start phased opening on May 18. No Poker.

Harrah’s says that new health and safety precautions will be in place for the safety of employees and guests. The gaming floor, hotel and some restaurants, where social distancing can be practiced will be the first to open with ‘significant’ limitations on occupancy. Areas where social distancing is not possible, such as the spa, valet, poker, buffet and concerts, will remain closed.

Harrah’s says that to make social distancing possible, only a small group of invited guests will be able to access the casinos as well as members of the EBCI. Customers will receive the invitation by email starting as early as May 13. Additionally, only invited guests will be able to make hotel reservations and access the properties.

Even if that is YOUR belief, you damn well know 9 handed poker will not even be close to coming back anytime soon. Then you are claiming the wsop will be back real soon? Also discussing politics.

Bro you are definitely trolling, you know it and most on here know it.

I never said the pandemic is no big deal. I’ve maintained the opposite, as a matter of fact. It’s extremely serious and I think reopening too soon, especially considering we still lack adequate testing capabilities, is dangerous. Not everyone agrees with me, however, and that is why I feel you will see Vegas opening up everything before you know it. The tourism industry there will put a lot of pressure on politicians.
I’ll preemptively accept your apology.

The dealer has to sit = 5 chairs
05-10-2020 , 12:03 AM
Ya I didn't include the dealer.
05-10-2020 , 12:15 AM
Doesn't that defeat the purpose tho? Building small tables for 4 players, assuming that is what that is.

Four handed live will be a tremendous fail. They may as well not even open poker at all if thats the case.

When games get down to 4 handed normally they are on life support. Recs are kind of just waiting for others to join. Pro's are afraid to go on a bathroom break in fear the game will break,

The main types of players who would like 4 handed are "online typish" players who also happen to be the ones who are most scared to go out during the pandamic.

The rec type players who are really itching to play "real" poker hate 4 handed games. The want full loose passive games, not short tight aggressive games.

Six handed minimum to have any chance or success.

Problem is the politicians are making the rules now and they are way over conservative

Fear not, other areas of the country will open full ring games before vegas. Within a month after seeing no outbreak from the full ring games Vegas will come around and allow it.

As I wrote last week, there is so much damn lobbying all over the country to various state officials for just about everything. In my opinion if live poker wants to survive for the next year or more, TD's, poker room director's, high profile players need to lobby the gaming commission and governor's office to switch this to 6 max from 4. That needs to be the single most important change before these casinos reopen to save poker for the short term. Otherwise the majority of poker rooms will not even open for months and months and many will have to close permanently.

And the ones that do open imo will be hard pressed to find many players willing to risk potential covid exposure to play 4 handed. It just won't work.

Making rules based on what's best for public health rather than what's best for poker seems like politicians doing their jobs rather than being a problem.

What's best for poker in the long-run may be trying to minimize how much of the player pool dies off before we reach herd immunity or get a vaccine or whatever we need for larger gatherings to be acceptable again.

Because of the insufficient infirmaries. Cruise ships don't expect everyone to get sick.

I wish to revise my previous opinion. A very, very, very good source of mine has informed me that the WSOP will be canceled this year.
05-10-2020 , 09:06 AM
^^ was that the same source that said you would ship a bracelet WSOP 2020?

Doing their job? Well, if their job is to pick policies out of a hat based on some hodgepodge of squeaky wheels and focus groups, then I agree they are doing their job.

As for the rest, how many poker players do you think there are? And how many have died from covid? I’d like to know those things in order to be able to judge if your comments regarding the prospects for the poker player pool are valid or just a bit of nonsense.

Very interesting information about Covid.
Insights from an expert of what to do, what will be etc.
Gotta be open to it. I put phone away like an audio book and listened.

No. I’m the source who said I’d ship a bracelet. However, I believed, based on the climate of the country, that WSOP would resume. However, a solid and reliable source of mine has informed me that the WSOP will be canceled. He’s a good source. He knows where bodies are buried.
