It clearly states that the DGE ordered Borgata to put the money not yet paid out into escrow, as well as keeping a record of everyone who had already received a payout, pending further action by the DGE.

The most recent list of orders is through the month of February, and as of that date no further action on the DGE's part is indicated.

I love the Borgata. I work in a regulated environment (energy) and "they will take their time". Unless the gaming industry is different I seriously doubt the B has much control. Typically you have input, but the regulator will interpet the law and rule as they see just and legal. Not sure what Rzitup is trying to say but they have rules and will adjudicate in accordance. This is taking so long because it will set a precedent.

Judging from the order of the DGE, there isn't anything that the Borgata can do right now. There is nothing substantive to report, until the DGE acts.

Would you really have Borgata violate the DGE order?

You won't see me there! And last year I played 3 events. That might have been the case anyway. The quality of the tourneys have been going down, shorter levels and worse dealers...and the schedule is getting more bland. Not good when you combine that with this fiasco.

This thread is way too long to look back through and check but couldn't Borg just give players who busted and did not cash free rolls for there 1 mill in spring open?

Nothing is stopping them, but the DGE might mandate refunds to all players which might mean $$$ to all without having to play in a tourney

Remember, not all live close to AC or could get off of work

If it is just before Spring Open and say 250k,500k or 1 million free roll ,free room. Most of 4811(except lusardi of course ) will come and also play 1st event too.

I believe he was talking about a free entry into the $560. I would be satisfied with that and would play.

I wouldn't be that thrilled with a 250K freeroll with a free room that I can get free normally. Besides I don't think they have that many rooms available anyway

Correct, but in true poker player fashion I was only considering myself

But yes, many others would not be happy

I would be OK with it as it would force me to play and maybe luckbox into some major payday, but would just prefer the cash

ugh. perhaps not an optimal strategy for pursuing a just resolution but for the time being i'm gonna try to imagine that I lost the million chip flip that I actually won with 135 players left (aq>jj) and imagine that i cashed for $2500 and then blew it shooting craps....any $ hereafter is actually an unexpected windfall.

only half-joking, obviously i am willing to go to battle down the line to get our equity but i'm personally tired of constantly checking my email hoping for good news from our Borgata friends. gonna go into waving-the-white-flag mode for a week or two
