In this interview Benger reflected that " I’m a huge superhero fan, and it kind of played into this superhero complex." Not quite how i would describe his reaction.

that is really cringey to watch the overreaction of Benger and the rest of the table. I'm on the fence on Will, but he was really mistreated on his exit. The interview linked provides more details about comments that were made to him that didn't get aired.

I liked will, but that bust hand is definitely a case of give and take.

I'm honestly surprised more people didn't just respond in kind and talk through his decisions.

I liked will and found him entertaining, but he also gave away the strength of his hands a lot (or at least as much as we saw of it).

Benger didn't seem to be at that table for long, and I'm guessing much of his opinion of Kassouf was off of what he had heard. Kassouf's interaction with Matuson had largely been represented as abusive by the media, and it's likely that much of everything else that he heard was consistent with that. He had probably been told that Kassouf was berating every player he was heads up with (and had probably been informed that the TD wasn't doing enough to stop it), so Benger felt responsible to let Kassouf know that it was crossing the line.

That was definitely an empassioned outburst. He kept running with it after the cards were face up, and was definitely tilted "Check your privilege." Deserves a spot on /r/cringe. How you can construe that as anything but a loss of control etc. amazes me.

Kassouf and the airtime he has in this series has been great. I don't particularly like him but I don't hate him and he has been entertaining.

I also don't for a second think gives himself anywhere near the advantage he thinks he does by talking so much though. He gives away a lot more than he imagines he gains.

I don't agree that Josephy comes across as a dick from what I've seen. I'd feel the same way if a guy is tanking to the extent Will is.

Everyone is moaning about time wasting, and I agree wholeheartedly. There should be some sort of solution. Time clock, what-not.

BUUUTTTT!!!! Do any of you remember some of the last ten years worth of Main Events? Not to mention some of the other high profile WSOP events during those years?

The silent tanking by a host of young poker wizards, underscore SILENT, has been change the channel, piss on the fire, drink some tea and go to sleep mind numbing.

Vayo also seems like a toolbag as he relives someone getting coolered back to back hands (or the equivalent in TV poker)with like 17 people left in the main event. Ironic they are all talking about "being a good person" as they take enjoyment in someones agony.

Tough to look worse than Will, but some how multiple people did.

Props to Matt Moss for perfectly summarizing the situation in his bust-out interview (when most people are far too disappointed/emotional/whatever to be articulate). Friendly speech play beaking is fine, repeated pointless tanking that wastes everyone's time is not.

Also, anyone ever notice that happiness is inversely correlated with angrily shouting about how happy you are?
