[edit:]yeah I find it informative when the TD who is already being accused of conflicts of interests regarding the ME is saying things like this:

Quote:
Generally speaking, we are pretty forgiving. To give you an example: A well-known player was screaming at the top of his lungs in the Pavilion Room one day. He was screaming and ready to fight anyone. You could hear him in the entire room. He was screaming at me; he was screaming at security guards. He was definitely getting thrown out, as were his intentions it seemed.

I decided to have some mercy on him because I knew he had a bad night, I knew that he had had a little too much to drink and I knew that when he woke up the next day that he would regret what had happened. I got him a full refund for his tournament and I told him I would see him next year.
so if that's not a well known pro doing that, do they also get a refund as well? gmafb. guy is terrible. and everything he says makes him look terrible.

Also to anyone saying anything along the lines of "it's not against the rules obvs but you still shouldn't do it" or people wanting to ban this sort of thing that WK does, then do you also maybe consider a Justin Schwartz rule? you know, you can't show up looking like you just got off a freight train and haven't showered in years, because I could see that being tilting to some people just like WK's speech play.

if we're gonna ban things that tilt players, we should just keep going right?

Re: "9 high like a boss"

Maybe instead of bitching here you guys could ***** to TD's about implementing a shot clock? It seems like moving the time to call the clock to 1 minute and not giving anyone more than 2 minutes would solve much of your complaints. If people can make decisions playing 16 tables in less than 30 seconds I see no reason why it takes so long playing 1 table against a bunch of bad players.

You assume my game means sitting there quietly. I needle people all day, I don't think this guy kassouf will tilt me at all. I don't tank every hand I play tough, that's definitely terrible for the game. But by the rules you have that right until clock is called, and if you do it excessively you get a penalty.

I don't think a shot clock is the answer tbh. Why shouldn't i or 99% of players who don't take 30 seconds to look at their cards get a few minutes for legit decisions when its needed. Just need to stamp out consistent stallers with penalties.

Why does it take a few minutes to make a legit decision? 2-3, ok, but 5-10 minutes? It creates a lot more problems policing individuals than it does to just give people a reasonable amount of time that is standard for everyone.

Best solution to me would be that every player gets their own timer w/ X amount of preloaded time. Once you run out, you get 1 minute and that's it. After a certain amount of people are eliminated they could reset your timer.

Re: "9 high like a boss"

Ye i agree 2-3 minutes is enough but a shot clock generally will be less than that. The logistics of having individual timers is a total nightmare why i don't think it will happen. Way easier to just punish people who abuse the system which we have now. I have never had a clock called on me in my life as i snap fold my crap hands and when i do take a few minutes the table knows im not wasting time.

I took it the same way, as I'm sure others did. You literally closed your post with a slippery slope argument, which is the lowest level of reasoning often shared with rape apologists. You are no different from the droolers who clutch "Should we also ban screwdrivers?!?!" as a cornerstone of their ethics.

Re: "9 high like a boss"

I thought Cliff was generally regarded as a pretty good guy. I would love to hear from people on this board that actually know him. So the way I took it was it was actually that bad considering we probably saw 3% of what was actually going on at the WSOP.

I thought I heard Norman Chad say there was some catch all rule for being an ass. WK seems like a good guy that took it way too far. Then again, he's there to make a lot of money nto make friends. How does it go"any publicity is good publicity"?

This has been the best WSOP tourney to watch in years for me.

Apart from that, **** Will Kassouf. This was painful to watch and it's even worse they decided to build an entire episode around his bs.

What was kinda hilarious was the “one player to a hand“ comment from the TD. That“s the only time I was legitimately going 'lol wtf that doesnt make any sense'.
Half of them are in Politics or Golf.

Of the other half, a significant number came prior to 2013 when I played often, but not professionally or for any relevant money.

Kassouf is awful to watch.

At a casino when most or all of the players at a specific table are often unknown to the dealer and each other, how does one identify the consistent stallers? Sit and wait for it to happen seven times, then act after the damage is done? What's the downside to a shot clock?

Also, it isn't "1%" of players who are the problem.

Also by the rules, the players are perfectly within their rights to gang up on a player who is abusing the tanking rule. I don't see it differently to needling, it's all fair in love and war at the table.

My point is if people are going to say it's fine for player X to take advantage of rules then it's absolutely fine for players Y and Z to try and get him to not take advantage.

Jack comes over to the table and tells will to stop insulting people. Will was the one being insulted, he was just taking too long. Jack should have told will to speed it up and had cliff sit out one orbit. Would have ended the whole issue.

well i'm sorry the 2+2 social justice warrior hive mind took it that way, but i guess that's what you get when you take one statement of someone and paint it with a broad brush.

what does what I said have to do with being a rape apologist? oh because I used an argument that would also be shared by rape apologists? I drive a car, as do other rape apologists, so does that make me a rape apologist as well? cmon

Well Will would admit he is bush league so whats your point?

He's humble about it and I for one respect that. After his 300K cash where did will go? He went straight back to the UK circuit and played low stakes events such as the Goliath which is a 100£ 6000 player comp. Can you imagine how good that is for poker? UK players seeing someone with that result play there comp?? Bringing so much people into the game. Unlike most pros the guy is humble however hard that is to imagine. Even after that results he is cool with just grinding 2/5 and 1/2.

All the players on his table episode 12 can do 1, episode 12 really pissed me off, Bleznicks dig saying I will stake you for the 109 rebuys, oooh the arrogance. Mathew Moss proved himself a true **** aswell.

Ok so the tanking, that I agree with and I do think will is naļve to that fact. I mean if everyone tanked like him it would be a big problem and he should see that for sure....

Talking when someones making a decision is perfectly fine and a big part of how poker was in the good old days, I would like to see it come back! everyone should talk, a battle of wits aswell as math and fundamentals

Just my 2 cents but I haven't watched this new episode yet as I am in the UK so not uploaded yet haha maybe I will change my mind

Don't want to post spoilers in this thread, I suppose, but the way people have reacted to him has substantially limited the number of people at the FT I feel like I can root for.

Lol that kassouf is a bully and verbally abusive. Grow up dude. He can be a jerk stall tank etc and all good reasons not to like him or think he is bad for poker/TV etc. But he didn't abuse anyone.
