Quite clearly you only watch poker on TV, so your opinion is now invalid.

The 89 Suited call is pretty close, I don't how Niwinski plays his suited wheel aces in this ICM spot. If he is shoving these with fold equity knowing Will is open folding more than the average player on the table this is 100% a call.

If hes not shoving the wheel aces its still a super close spot.

Will only needs 38% and hes doing well against all the a7 suiteds through to ak and all the kq/kj suiteds and small pairs, when you take into account the small range of big pairs (simply isn't a ton of combos) this is a super close spot. I don't know exactly how Niwinski's range deviates given the pay jump so I couldn't really say if its a call or not but I for sure wouldn't describe his call as bad imao

I would fold tho haha

And equally disheartening is the anti-PC culture that sees anyone who makes a comment that sounds remotely PC and jumps to terms like "SJW". I don't see how being on either extreme is helpful in life in general, or to this thread in particular.

But most of all, and this isn't directed at any one person in particular (except for one I just gave an infraction to - not the quoted poster above), I don't know why there are a few people that want to turn this thread into some kind of political battle.

Edit to add: My pony is slow.

Back on topic, is all the Benger dislike/hatred (want him knocked out 9th, etc.) just over the exchange on one hand, that he has himself admitted he got carried away on, or is there a lot more?

I mean, that exchange was enough to garner all kinds of dislike and hatred.

In fact, open back up that "Check the privilege" thread so we can continually call him for a long time over that bull**** he spewed.

Seeking a rational explanation for poorly constructed, irrational comments by Kassouf fanboys is pointless and a waste of time.

I think mostly it's that as the unquestioned best tournament player left and a supposed "ambassador" of the game, he shouldn't be acting like this. He's disliked by quite a few online tournament players for the ghosting accusations that may or may not have been true.

It was truly embarrassing to see the pros at the table talking about how bad it was for their equity that will was gone, but they were still glad he was. That attitude is exactly what's wrong with poker, not Will. They could have stopped the tanking, they chose not to.

And to the guy above, you don't have to be a fan of Wills to think some* of his antics were in fact good for the game because they made great TV. I hope he is used as the final straw to implementing some sort of time bank, be it a shot clock or something else. Live poker has gotten ridiculous over the last few years.

Yes, and the little weasel called the clock on him LOL. I understand if you want to hate on kassouf, but vayo, benger, and the weasel were so much worse. Bunch of babies.

Re: "9 high like a boss"

Talking about Will while he is not present was pretty low class by Vayo. People who do that at table are mostly just wimps who won't say it to the person's face. Will got massively coolered so he got what he deserves in a way just STFU and move on.

Do you think he tanks like that at his 2/5 game? Sign me up to play with 8 WKs anyday. Do you talk with Hillary's poop shoot on your breath at every table? If so I'd never play a hand with you.

Will and Benger are both insufferable. Telling a grown man he is verbally abusing you is pathetic. Crying to the TD after you are eliminated about being bullied is just as pathetic.

I have similar sentiments with majority that there's nobody to root for. Typically I root for the middle aged rec donk who makes the FT to beat the nerds. Jerry Wong is does not fit that, but seems like a decent guy and has not completely annoyed me so far. Go Jerry!

Niwinski seemed ok until latest episode, major cringe alert. Think I am rooting for Ruane. I thought he was some idiot from northern europe then Norman Chad mentioned he's from Jersey .

Re: "9 high like a boss"

I genuinely can't believe the guys that refused to shake his hand at the end.

So disgusting, even if you absolutely hate the guy, I can't understand why you would refuse to shake his hand at the end. Especially after old mate just coolered his life and went on a tirade like a ****ing school girl.

Re: "9 high like a boss"

To me it seemed that the outburst was genuine, but I'm also pretty sure it was also a calculated move. Can't see him raging with a marginal hand, pretty sure his raging range is strictly very strong hands - basicly his intention was to reel in Kassouf with whatever hand he was pondering about shoving with.

He did offer a balanced comment that claims in general would be taken more seriously if the people making them do so quickly instead of waiting which seems reasonable.

Griffin retweeted one of Zach's tweets and misrepresented Zach's stance by putting an inaccurate summary of the comments in quotes as if it was Zach's and giving the impression Zach was critical of women who don't report assault immediately.

It was a pretty shady thing to do to pull one tweet out of a series, in which Zach was coming down on the accuser in the series, and using this one tweet and twisting it to somehow make it fit his agenda. Griffin sent it to his followers and got to pat himself on the back so they got to think he's a great guy for being anti-sexual assault as if that's an edgy stance. This came at the cost of course of having to misrepresent what Zach said and publicly shame him and set him up as Griffin did.

I think all of this plays into Griffin's misguided superhero complex/social justice warrior mentality.

I hate this prick even more now. It must be something in Toronto's water -- that city is SJW central.

Sure, and even he admitted he was out of line. But one extremely poor reaction resulting from a lot of pent-up frustration (and I think we can all understand how that would happen playing with Kassouf for a while) hardly seems worth all the hatred. However...

It makes a little more sense to me with this and the Twitter stuff.

Re: "9 high like a boss"

Kassouf said that the worst confrontation he ever had came in Spain, where a German player threatened to beat him up.
Via PokerListings: “There was this German guy at EPT Barcelona. He kicked off, he started shouting at me. Told me to shut the [expletive] up. Told me to hurry up. Called the clock on me. I wasn’t even in the hand.
