The goal in NOT to hit them where it hurts. The goal is to show them that we can hurt them if they continue to ignore the wishes of high volume players. Actually hurting them with some kind of withdrawing/redepositing scheme will be of no benefit to anyone.

Looking at the registered list of the Super Tuesday, all UK regs dont care
12-01-2015 , 01:25 PM
OK I decided to join too. I def think doing this on 1st Jan with a longer timeframe would be a lot better (when no one is grinding for sne etc), although there's something to be said about doing something before the changes actually take place...

All the highstakes regs joining made me feel pretty guilty even though this thing doesn't affect me very much. Also they gave me some hope that this might achieve something.

So I, watergun7- have played mtts, husngs, 6max zoom, hucash, hucap, and spins, won't play at my usual stakes during the strike in the next 3 days.

Maybe hello1 thought that Baazov would cover these costs from his own pocket. But that's not how it works. Amaya would transfer these costs to players and as MadStranger said it wouldn't be beneficial for anyone (but Skrill).

Curious to know how many of the 2,600 hold up.
For those who are doubting their resolve, there is a nice feature on Stars called voluntary self-exclusion (under Tools> Responsible Gaming). Once you exclude yourself for 24 hours, you can't play anymore even if you change your mind.

135.7k players online right now on PokerStars and according to pokerscout 32.7k on cash game tables.

Stars are to many steps ahead. Attacking the vip program was a must if you factor in the return of US gaming in 2016.
Not to mention they already countered this strike head on with they're latest "get building our rake" sorry Xmas milestone cash game.
Being a micro stakes fish/grinder/donk I'll never fully understand the losses at the sne level in respect of the vip systems, but I have to admit it has always been an enticing program. Alas the dream is dead (not that it was viable at my stakes).

Surely by now with the revenue created from the rake all players should be arguing it's been too long, why is 10% per tournament the norm? Until higher stakes. Just the average Sunday million yields 85k in rake alone from one tournament guys! Yes they have overheads but come on, fourth place in said tournament ain't even near that figure. And that's one game from thousands. DAILY.
If half of the high stakes regulars just avoided the Sunday majors in protest their overlay esp the 27th would be so large they would have to reconsider?

Count me in -

I Jon9ball shall not play at $0.10-$0.25 - $3-6 PLO8 from the 1st to the 3rd of December.

I am not playing poker (on AmayaStars) for next 3 days.

I agree it would be good idea to massively boycott sunday million on 27th. It is just 1 tourney, they allready made announcement about prizepool. They want to give more $ to rec players? Give them extra in overlay. It would be great to see how many regs can leave out just this 1 tourney for greater good. It doesnt take much from players, so...

Maybe actually listen to the podcast before posting clickbait articles (didn't bother reading). DN said he agrees with the general direction in which Stars is heading, but disapproves of many of the VIP changes (especially SNE and removal of rakeback at 1k+).

He also admitted that the decision makers at Amaya are not poker players, know nothing about poker (putting it lightly), and that players should have more input.

Also I just read some good news:

http://www.pokernewsreport.com/888-c...-protest-20354

If we organize another protest from 1st of January, they can give additional benefits for all the year, and their traffic can grow a lot.

Callahan please take the time to read and listen to stuff as opposed to Jumping the gun right away

Yes, plus other declarations as:

"Pokerstars has historically been geared too far in favor of high volume players"

"The changes are necessary in order to improve the long-term viability of the online game"

Maybe you like his words and his oppinion (and I respect), but I also have mine.

PD: Sorry, maybe I jumped very fast, but some declarations seems as the same bs as in the pokerstars posts introducing the VIP 2016.
