Better comparison would be Tuesday versus tuesday or even better take the average across the 3 days boycott
Spoiler:

Best two days and both of them are mondays.

So Tuesday vs Tuesday is even worse. 23k seats occupied at peak last Tuesday (and Tuesday before), 16k today already (10 hours before peak).

I don't know the traffic stars gets now due to ps7 not showing players online. Pokerscout has 7 day av cash traffic at 14.5k players

Obviously a good chunk of players striking are sng/mtt players but still overall even if we are conservative and say 5 tables per striker on average it's a big impact.
I heard somewhere (timex was source on his FB) that 70% of business was driven by 0.2%. I don't know how true that is or where he got it from but I would not be suprised.
There is no reason to believe it will have a noticeable drop in number of players. It will however likely have an effect on daily revenue considering the small number of players not playing are those that generate the most revenue through rake.

This week they will have 2500 regulars players not playing for 3 days. So we should see a drop of at least 1K players in their 7 days average.

As regs tend to play a lot more tables than recs, i think we will see a much bigger drop in tables running than in total players.

But isn't it so, that 14,5k is only cash game players? Not including for example mtts? There's now 77k players online on Stars.

That's Sunday actually I would imagine based on most peoples time zones. I have the same issue with tracking sites says my best day for playing is Monday but I don't play Mondays.

Use logic there is no way Monday is the best day of the week to play poker in terms of traffic.

Regardless comparing the same day makes more sense rather than to the previous day
