I am dumber for having read that.
11-28-2013 , 03:30 PM
this is why bovada is so profitable. the site is 80% mouth breathers and droolers.
11-28-2013 , 08:32 PM
It seems a pretty fishy explanation so I better give up on that.

So can we please have random seating for collusion reasons?

Bodog_Ice - Can you explain the 20% deposit bonus for Black Friday since the website isn't completely clear and despite the fact phone support has said it hopes to return within 24 hours it's said that for several days now?

It says 3X points per dollar so what does that mean like lets just use $100 for an example since it would be easy to figure other amounts off of that how many points would someone have to earn to clear a bonus off a $100 deposit ($20 bonus) ?

That is a Bovada promotion, this a Bodog network-wide thread.

The answer will be speak to your individual operator.

Why are the MTT and SitnGos blank atm..

I am concerned about the anonymity of your software. While you do suggest other players can not identify you when joining a new table because there are no names attached to a player, this clearly isn’t the case. Recently, when trying to join $1/$2 heads up NL tables, my opponent kept sitting out and suggested that he “did not want to play me” and that I should “make my own tables.” Every single table I joined, he would sit out. Clearly he was able to identify who I was regardless of me having no name attached to my seat. Please explain this.

How much did you buy in for when you sat?

Different tables, yes, originally bought in table max every time, then begun to buy in different amounts. Mind you me and this person had conversations at multiple different tables all of which he said he would not play me, regardless of what I bought in.

Well I'm convinced. All the regs should probably stop playing immediately because of this.

Yeah I got nothing man, I asked a few questions that might indicate why someone would do that, but beyond that and beyond knowing any more details, that's all I can offer. You're not going to get anywhere in this thread or with support unless you come up with a ton of data to back up your claim.

How do you know it was the same player?

Response from support:

Thanks for contacting Bovada Poker Customer Service.

Rest assured that our software is 100% anonymous. There are many reasons why this player did not want to play you. He may have noticed a trend in the amount of money you were buying in. Although our software is 100% anonymous, players still try to find ways to determine who they're playing, based on their opponents behavior at the table.

Our Poker Customer Service Team is available by e-mail at [email protected] 24/7 to help if you need anything else.

Thanks,

Poker Customer Service

Because he initiated conversation saying he wouldn't play me, I mean this is obvious and this is a serious issue.

And if you'd like more, I tried to sit at a table I had recently joined with him and conversed but was hit with the five minute delay message. I sat there and watched the table, next person to sit down, obviously not me, he played.

My point was that you'll never get anywhere with support because the things you posted here are anecdotal at best. If you really want to go trying to prove your case, gather data on 100 times in a row that this happens. Make a list of times, table names, what seat the player is in and how much he has. Then take screenshots of the chat. Gather all of those in a list and then maybe you will have a case. If you send them the posts from this thread you'll get the same form letter you just got.

I am seeing so much blatant collusion in the limit games that I am considering quitting. I try to start a new table and three people insta buyin with 30 (like within 5 sec of each other) then reload a few hands later.

When you review your hand histories for these sessions, do you see evidence of cheating?

Yea, they have a little more info now. I have about 15 table numbers it happened at in a row, definitely wish I would have taken screenshots of the chat, I'll do when I inevitably run into him again. I'm guessing they have a way to see that chat, but wouldn't be surprised if they don't.
