Hey, I was trying to find the tournament schedule for the Hard Rock online. I found the link to it, but I can't upload it for whatever reason. I have adobe reader dowloaded, but it doesn't help. Is there anyone that has the schedule or could help me figure this out?

Thanks,
Tyler

And..... I'm back. Went on a spontaneous vacay after dumping like $2k at a 2/5 table and, after getting drunk, $600 at a 1/2 table at Silks... lolz Sorry to anyone that tried to PM me.

Who is Mdom88? I guess I know/ prob played with him. Apparently he is currently banned? lolz

Anyway, PMed a couple of you dudes, hit me back.

I think I am going to be playing at THR tonight. Can't believe BBJ was hit at another ****ing 2/4 table. It never fails.

@Jeff_b, are you an old dude? I played at your table (whatever night we were posting back n forth) after dumping a bunch at 2/5... I was the young guy dumping chips... haha Bad night.

Pretty sure you didn't play with Mdom- he plays in the 10-25, and 25-50.

Any idea where he played prior to the limits going up?

I might be bringing some bachelor party folks here in a week or so. What are the lowest games spread? What is the crowd like?

Lowest game spread is $1/2 ($40 - $100 buyin) for NLHE. They also have a $2/4 Limit hold'em game spread. I used to play the occasional 1/2 before the limits went up. Definitely some colorful characters, but for the most part a lot of really nice people, imo.

Thanks for the info. Is the 1/2 mostly regular nits, or are there a good amount of recreational players? I'm just trying to figure out if it would be more fun to guide my guests there versus places like the blackjack tables.

First off, you suck at poker, Webernaut. Second, when did you hear this? From who did you hear this? Where were you at when you heard this? What time was it when you heard this? Who was there when you heard this?

When is the tournament going to be happening? And at what poker rooms will it be played at?

And, oh yeah, did I tell you that you suck at poker?

OK, in a question actually in reference to the Hard Rock, does anyone know if they are spreading any limit games regularly over there? $4-$8? $6-$12? $8-$16? Or anything higher, like $15-$30 or $20-$40? If so, are they games popular? Multiple tables being spread? Lots of interest in playing them/getting them going? I don't think I've seen a single limit game other than $2-$4 at the Silks since the new laws went into effect, and even that's a rarity these days. I would think that at least $4-$8 Limit Hold 'Em would catch on and have a lot of people wanting to play it, as it's an exciting game that most people that play $1-$1 and/or $1-$2 can reasonably afford. Also, are there any low limit Pot-Limit games being spread regularly, in the $1-$2 neighborhood?

Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

And, once again, did I let it be known that the Yankess suck?

I hate the yankees. It was supposed to be a play on words. When I was working at Foxwoods I got this name bc I was living up north and was in yankee country, and that place was a terrible grind. And also I hate the yankees and wish them harm, hence the name there as well.

I wish there was more limit games going on in Tampa. I think limit is a better long term game for the health of the poker in this city. Fish lose their money more slowly and keeps them coming around more often.

Is anybody else tilted by the guy in the FL Millions ads? He reminds me of Roman (or Maurice?) from Rounders.

Nothing regular, but the best suggestion is to try and start a interest list. They actually had a shorthanded 20/40 O8 game going late last friday night for a few hours. Also a 2-10 stud hi popped off at least once and i think twice last week.

I was playing 3/6 O8 Sat, while waiting for NL and blurted out lests play some razz or stud8 along with O8. Like 3 players said they'd play a 5-10 mix game and would put they names on the list if i would get them to put it on the board.

Hit me up if/when that happens. A 5-10 or 10-20 mixed game would be awesome. The only trick would be attracting players who are *ahem* less skilled in games other than NLHE.

Had a very interesting thing happen last night. Pay attention:

I had a good night, cashed out about 1800 (almost 4k in my wallet). As I was in line at the cage, I noticed a few people standing outside of the poker room by the slots near the cage. This isnt too uncommon, even at 1am. Anyway, I cash out, start walking toward the garage. I parked in the south garage, so walk by the high limit slots, the pit and as I approached the fountain, I turned around and saw someone following me who I noticed was one of the people standing outside of the poker room cage. This guy was a younger black guy with dreads and a #25 Saints Reggie Bush jersey. I have a routine I do where I will weave in and out of rows of slots, even stop at a slot for a second. I did this, the guy passed me and disapeared into nowhere. I then continue to walk back past the high limit blackjack room, weave in and out of some more rows of slots then emerge near the escalators up to the garage, I see the guy, he is over near some slots walkiing AWAY from me, not looking at me. So I get on the escalators and head up to the garage. About half way up the escalator, I turn around, and the guy is ON the escalator. At this point, I am convinced the guy is following me. I stop at the kiosk there by the garage to "swipe my card", and the guy passes me and exits toward the garage, by the elevator. I stand there for a minute after I see him exit, then walk toward the exit/elevators, I see him standing there waiting, looking at me, meanwhile people were getting ON the elevator, and he did not. At that point, I turn around and head BACK toward the escalators to find security. I was going to get a walk out. As I approached the elevators, I see someone from security coming UP. As he comes off the escalator I explain what happened and describe the guy, and as I was doing this, the security guard asks if this was the guy, he was walking BACK IN to the casino, towards us. I confirm that was the guy, and mr reggie bush jersey guy heads back down the escalator. The security guard calls in the guy and then walks me to my car. He told me they were going to be watching him.

I am not paranoid, I am there several days a week, always with at least 2k in my pocket and at no time have I ever felt unsafe. I have always been very aware of my surroundings, and I have this routine for a reason, but this is the first time I actually feel with almost no uncertainty that this guy was going to rob me. It kind of freaked me out. I was very uncomfortable as I drove away and I hope this is not some sort of trend. I read the stuff about Hollywood and hope we dont have to deal with this at THR.

There will always be a potential for a robbery if thre is money. Best thing you can do is valet. Sucks but I'd rather spend $5 and feel better when I walk out into a heavily crowded area and get right into my car.

Either that or just bring something with you that the potential robber wouldn't want to see. (Gun show in Palmetto this weekend ftw)

if you're walking around with 2-4k in your pocket valet shouldn't be an issue.
