Any 2/5NL grinders playing at the hard rock for a living or beating the games? PM and we can talk some poker, etc. Pretty much play 5 days a week and been meeting some pretty good players since I can't play online anymore

Anyone play any PLO here? Is it any decent? Soft? Any feedback is appreciated.

How are the tournament structures at the Hard Rock? Any comparison to the ones at Silks?

For a little extra drive, tourneys are definitely better at Derby. Better structure and rake, and usually bigger fields. Just mentally prepare yourself for the $4 rake on a $16 pot if you play the Derby cash games, though!

BTW, I've only played one tourney at Silks (a year ago), so I can't comment on them.

Last time I was there I asked the lady behind the desk to start a list for 1-2 PLO for me, and she said "you will never get that game started here" and didn't start one. I asked her to please put me on the list anyways just in case. She still wouldn't do it. I had to plead with her for like 2-3 minutes before she rolled her eyes and said ok. I looked up from my table about an hour and a half later to see if anyone had joined me yet, and she never made the list! uggh, sorry for the rant, it just annoyed me.

I was told that 5/10/20 PLO has been running every so often. Can someone comment on the factuality of this and what nights are standard? I would gladly come donate

I think we will all agree that your source was confusing the 5/10/20 NLHE game (though it runs all the time) with PLO.

I'd be happy to be corrected by anyone who's witnessed it, but I've never heard of anything remotely like that at the Rock.

I know of the 5/10/20nlh game, played in it a few times. I was told that the PLO game ran Thursday night iirc, he mentioned a couple guys that I have played with in west palm that I know would get that game going.

Slide your player's club card in the machine across from that desk and you can start a sign up there. I dunno why she's so dumb though, it happened several days when I was there 2 weeks ago.

The 1/2plo game was going 8 handed when I left today.

We actually had a full 10 people playing in the game at one point with at couple people circulating in and out of the game. It takes forever though to get a game off the ground there! I started the interest list when i got there, but it took about 2-1/2 to 3 hours to build the list and get the game started! (I thought we would see an increase in live PLO at THR after "Black Friday", guess not)

The reason you won't see a large influx of PLO at THR is vecause the Tampa players already have a much better game to go to with at least 1 table always running.

I've been trying to find out what room in the area runs PLO regularly. I was told by another player today that a 1/2 PLO game runs daily at Lucky's, but I wouldn't know because I haven't been there in about 2 years.

I played in a 1/1 game at Derby yesterday and the 1/2 game at THR today. Besides myself 3 others in the game today were in the game at Derby yesterday.

Yes, Lucky's has 1/2plo with mandatory $5 button straddle daily. I never play there but this is what Ive heard.

I play at luckys alot and this is very true... There is at least 1 1/2/5 plo game going everyday im there and it runs the whole time. Sometimes they have two tables going. They ran a 5/10/25 plo game yesterday when I was there but that was prob more so cause Racener was there getting the guys fired up. Always tons of money and action on the tables.

As mentioned by parisron and t for prez, yes lucky's somehow became the spot in Tampa for PLO. From what I have noticed around the state there is usually a game in each major city but usually not more than one good game per competing rooms.

So far games are:
Daytona
Lucky's
Skc (Friday and Saturday)
Naples
Pbkc
Isle

Daytona, pbkc, and isle are all at least 2/5 usually with a straddle, the rest are 2/5 or less.

I was a little surprised myself when I was first told this. I figured Lucky's would be the last place to run a regular PLO game in the Tampa area.

It is a very interesting dynamic at Lucky's. High-action PLO games running all day, with the occasional huge PLO game involving last year's Main Event runner up. Every other table in the room...

$20 min?!?!? Wow!!! Then what is the max on the 1/2? Also what is the min/max on the other size plo games ran there like 1/2/5, 2/5, etc.
