Went out again, but got logged in the main system but table went off. So long as main system doesnt go off...couldn't get clarification from supervisor. Oh well not worrying about it now. Time to play!!

According to them earlier, the main system was down also. Thats why they couldnt manually put you in at the desk.

Considering I put in like 50-60 hours a week, I'm not too worried about missing out on the hours tonight. Will be there within the hour.

Id be going regardless but when the silks is closer to your home and the game there are pretty good, they also do decent high hand promos and random splash the pot . other then that degen will always be in the blood

Monday is a day I would normally take off if not for the promo. So thats why I said that.
Im sure it will be fixed by tomorrow. They are losing money, there was several people that I saw leave when they were not getting their hours.

Its just principle, ideally the whole room would walk out and leave. How fast do you think they would fix the problem then?

Not everybody is there for the promo. Even I put in a couple of hours today because A) Rush Hour Traffic through Tampa is terrible B) I live over 30 miles away. But I too would have left immediately if I lived closer/wasn't there at 5pm.

Last night I was playing with a guy who said he had been at the table for over 13 hours (I had been there for 7.5 and he had been there the whole time, so let's just believe him). He claimed he didn't want a player's card because they can track him among other "weird" things. Whatever...haha....halfway to $150? Don't bother. : )

Illogical/superstitious people = $$ Hehe

they are worth the amount of the money you win playing them

Ok so less than worthless lol.

When I was there the system would come back for a couple minutes every 10-15 minutes and everyone was still in there when it would come back, so nobody seemed sure whether or not the time would count towards promos...just wondering if it has been confirmed by anyone in the know that for sure no hours would count.

I just checked bravo and all 2 hours I played were indeed counted towards the promo. My playing time was 5:20-7:20ish. Just for your information!

Next month should be 27 hours per week, not sure if 6 or 7 days.
Get ipod touch 8gb or $240 tourney ticket each week.

In the past was it ipod touch 8gb that they gave away? or some other ipod.
Its the same as before because they have left over.

Heard something about a $300 property credit also, I dont know if they axed that or maybe that will be a 3rd choice.

Did anyone get these poker appreciation coupons in the mail? This Sunday through Wednesday you turn it in for an item. Sunday a mug, Monday a tee shirt, Tuesday a hoodie and Wednesday a hat. Plus 2 free drink coupons. Somebody put a bug up someone's @@@ to try and give something to the poker players?

How are the 1/2 and 1/3 games here and can someone explain the hours/week promotion and how to redeem it?

I got them, would've never expected them to give away this kind of stuff.

1/2 (100 max BI) & 1/3 (100-300 BI) are both fairly good, plenty of tables and a decent amount of bad players. Like anywhere though, some days & times are better (weekend nights) than others (weekdays).

August promotion goes- play 25 hours from Sunday through Friday (in 1 week) and they will give you a $150 visa gift card. You just need to signup for a Players Club card and give it to the dealer every time you sit at a poker table, so they can clock you in to record your time.

Yea I got mine today in the mail. I think they usually do this kind of give away this time of year each year. Its back to school time and it gets just a tad slower at Hard Rock because parents are buying back to school supplies and new clothes for their kids instead of degening it up at HR.

I hope the hoodie is of decent quality, Im sure its not one of the $50-$100 ones from the gift shop.

I heard from someone just out of a meeting that september promo will be 28 hours a week, Sunday thru Friday and you get to pick between ipod(im guessing ipod touch 8gb) or a $240 tourney ticket.
Tourney ticket IS transferable and good for 1 year I think.

The new poker room manager at Hollywood HR seems to have an interest in starting a 1/1nl game and changing the 1/2nl buy in to $100-$300.

You can see his posts here:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/19...1/index46.html

I wish they would do this at Tampa HR except get rid of the 1/3nl game and have 1/1nl 20-100 buy in and 1/2nl 100-300 buy in.
Ideally they would do this and not have the 1/1nl game but I know they dont want to lose the $40 buy in players because they are in great numbers, so I think this would make all happy.

Then again, the HHR room manager posts here and from what I can tell, THR's manager can't be bothered to join 2+2. So chances are this'll never happen.

Yeah, it seems like the Hollywood manager is taking a more proactive approach to finding out what the players like and finding ways to implement them. Tampa manager seems to take the "promos keep players happy" approach. Though promotions are nice and they should keep doing them. They should also open their ears to the players like the Hollywood manager seems to be doing.
