Didn't hear that yet. I'm heading there tonight to play their 1/2 so I'll try and confirm.

I hate the $100 max buy-in they have now. Glad they're making that change.

Man It looks like Thunder Valley is really killing it now after making all of those changes its players have been asking for! In the last 2 weeks Graton opened up (and is already beating up on Thunder in terms of cash games running), they missed the guarantee on the $425 150k last week for the first time ever, and so far they have only 36 runners for the $1100 250k gtd this weekend.

Looks like I'm not the only one that decided to boycott their tournaments.

Now, normally this would be the point where they would figure out that they ****ed up and make the necessary changes to make their players happy and bring the customers back. But something tells me that this won't happen.

If they miss the guarantee on this $1100 250k, I bet the only change they make is to go with the band-aid effect: lower guarantees for the next tournament and kick up advertising to make sure there's no overlays, while not fixing any of the real problems.

Keep up the good work, Thunder Valley!

Erle! I definitely want to drink with you! It was kind of awkward watching the game and just hanging back since I don't really know anybody but maybe I should have drank with you because you were railing also. Drinks sometime soon?

also I realize that Harmetz is a rich fish (not the whale type obv) but like, what good is it bringing up 2p2 at the table? Maybe I'm just a nit haha

Does anyone not know about this site anymore? Does anyone think 2p2 improves anyone's game anymore? Does anyone think Erle isn't also a fish? Questions to ponder itt

Your an Internet dinosaur, the game passed you up. Being a fish is my destiny. For those that don't know, I was on the rail because I quit as soon as your nit ass sat down, but you know that already. You coming to thunder buddy?

I'm staying at the Hyatt this coming weekend and I want to play 2/5nl. I see that Capitol and Royale are close by. Any suggestions for which one to check out? Royale offers bigger blind games but I read that really just running 1/2.
Capitol appears to have a good buy-in structure. Read some reviews that it is in a rougher part of town, but that it is like most card rooms and it isn't that bad and that if you are smart you are ok .

Cap is definitely your best bet for a pure 2/5 game. Royale runs tues-wed and is more 5/10 (or bigger depending on when you are checking in) then 2/5, as it plays with a mandatory straddle and deep stacks.

Anyone check out the schedule for winter pot of gold starting December 15th?

I don't see another series close to home before January.

Anyone playing the POG?

Any other series events you are traveling for before the end of the year?

You must miss us!

To answer your question, I won't be going to POG but I might head down to Rincon. Might have to live without me until TVs event in January.

I did see 2 pair Magazine is starting there tour off in Fresno I believe with a $365 buyin main event, that might be something your interested in.

Lol, I was gonna quote that too.

POG is GSR right? Definitely not going there, especially with it having no guaranteeds. I might play at Thunder Valley this week. I hope I don't die from the smoke.
