Hopefully the Wynn in Boston will handle the smoking section better. I used to only play poker but even being in poker room for a couple hours would make my sweatshirt reek of cigs.

Mass is going to be all no smoking

Sure, the nice shiny new casinos will be very nice, don't expect to be able to afford to stay at either casino on poker income.
Fortunately, I currently live very close to MGM (may not when it opens) and will simply take the short drive. However to the best of my knowledge, neither casino seems to be putting too much emphasis on poker, leaving the likelihood that Foxwoods will still have a much larger and busier poker room and the only one that gives free rooms on any large scale. And as long as that is the case, I will still frequent Foxwoods.
Foxwoods will be lucky to keep poker room open. Fact not opinion.

That's actually an opinion. Not a fact.

Yeah bigworm obviously not really feasible to do so but I would love to give you action on that prediction

also I feel like a total fish buying the salad from the fast food Plaza. The one at Fuddruckers is 10 times better for same price

After a bucket list stay with brothers and daughters at Encore at the Wynn in October, I've revised my opinion of the Foxwood's poker room post Wynn opening. I will expand my thoughts next week.

Meanwhile 2 1-2 plo currently running, first started at 2:00 pm. Will be there around 10:30 am. Please keep one running until I get there!

10 - 10 plo also has been running since this afternoon.

GOTF has reached Foxwood's!

Been a long time since I've been on here, actually as you can probably tell from my username it was around the time of the UIGEA. Anyway, I am a longtime visitor to Foxwoods and King level card holder who was recently upgraded to Ace when they eliminated King. Don't play much live poker. Usually it's craps or Pai Gow.

This post is related to their virtual casino. While I normally wouldn't waste my time with that even for entertainment purposes, I received an email about a month ago that they were now offering a free entry Heads Up Hold Em tourney with rewards points to the winner. They run a couple times a week and the Saturday one advertises 50,000 virtual online casino credits and 1,000 rewards points to the winner.

It is a heads up format with a max of 256 players, if you win you move on. The blinds double every 5 hands so it moves pretty quick. They don't seem to get more than 80 players and with it free to enter it seems a pretty good freeroll for the 1k points which is the only reason I play it. In fact, 1,000 rewards points is extremely valuable at the casino and almost seems to good to be true for the amount of traffic this tourney gets.

Well tonight with 69 players I won the tourney and while the 50k virtual credits were immediately credited to my account there is no sign yet of the 1,000 reward points. My questions are follows:

Anyone else familiar with these tourneys in their virtual casino and have played them?
Anyone won at all and can provide info about the rewards points being credited?

I emailed support and I'm waiting for a reply which they say will be within 24 hours. I also read through all their Terms and Conditions and didn't see anything referring to this issue. Look forward to furthering the discussion!

Thanks.

Are you saying that from experience? Because the virtual casino credits (the ones I don't really care about) were credited immediately. Seems odd they both weren't credited simultaneously.

1,000 reward points, that just seems like it has to be a mistake. Are we sure there isn't some goofy rewards program internal to the virtual casino?

PBW I've noticed that twice now you've tried uploading a pic of the email but it isn't working. Upload it to imgur.com and then copy the link it provides for BB sites.

I was, up until 10. Played about 10 hours of plo. At one point there were 4 plo tables running. 1-2 plo main game and must move. A 2-5 which I heard was crazy stupid and a 5- 10.

Hope to catch up with you on next visit

I will upload the promo email to Imgur later tonight and post.

However, customer support replied to me and stated that the points are issued by their rewards dept within 3 business days. I shall keep the forum apprised. Haven't received them yet.

Well business days would exclude Saturday and Sunday so it wouldn't have happened since yesterday.

Hi,

just got to Foxwoods yesterday and would like to know which restaurants in the casino have the best value (for both quick restaurant to get something like a sandwich and nice good seating restaurant please).

Also, I heard about the fat tuesday promotion at mohegansun ($500 High Hand Jackpots every 15 minutes). Is that promotion brings so many fun players? Should I go play there tuesday or should I stick to Foxwoods casino (games were pretty good last night..). I will be playing the 2/5 nl games.

Play at Mohegan today everyone will be there. Get there early, like now. By noon you probably won't be able to get on a table.

It might be too late for Mohegan. There's already 102 waiting for 1-2nl, for example.

Panera Bread easily gets my vote for best quick service, call them to order while you're still at the table then you can just pick up your food and skip the line: 860-312-7323

For sit down, I'd recommend Cedars or Burke. Golden Dragon is good too if you want Chinese and Veranda Cafe is solid for breakfast

While I haven't been able to upload the image of the email, I can confirm I received the 1k reward point prize today without me having to inquire further. 3 business days as they stated and the points were there. What a great freeroll prize!! I will be spending those points loosely this Sunday and Monday!!

Someone who gets there early today, please give an overview of the new stores and how rewards are being treated or accepted.

Also would be interested if traffic clogs up rt 2 and the parking lot, which I assume the fox lot will be most affected
