I officially hate poker. Had someone call a $400, 3 bet shove preflop with J3s last night against my AA. Im sure that I dont need to post the outcome.

Played with Ryan Gomes last night. Funny story. He sits down directly to my left. I immediately comment on how tall he is and tell him that he should play basketball. He just laughs. His knees hit the top of the table and were seriosuly cramping my space. So for, 30+ minutes, I keep reiterating how he should REALLY play basketball. He then is called to the 5/10 game and immediately my tablemates tell me that he is a basketball player. So I mosey on over to his table and ask him if he is, in fact, a basketball player and he confirmed that he playes for The Clippers. Nice guy. He tolerated my idiocy very well.

I'm guessing the donk didn't flip before the board was revealed.

I feel ya... I had similar situations happen twice yesterday both times for stacks. I typically dont mind when someone beats me or out plays me but when they show blatent disrespect for the game of poker, the hard work that goes into the game, and also the money involved, I will admit it does bother me. One adjustment I've decided to make to combat this donkish play is to jam my premiums A LOT more (in terms of bet size not frequency) especially
against donk/tilted opponents who just wont fold and will stack off on the flop w/top pair all day.

lol im sorry but i really have trouble reading crap like this. people stacking off for $400 pf with J3s is an AWESOME thing and it isnt disrespecting the game of poker. A lot of people play poker for fun and to gamble and not for income. You should definitely reevaluate your thinking on this subject.

I'd never get mad a fish who got in 100bbs with J4s. I'd just reload, smile, and get it back.

I don't mind people with money who maybe play 1-2 because that is what they feel comfortable with, but he is a 2-5, 5-10 player. I have never seen him play 1-2, so for him to go play that game to try to hit the bad beat, and take it from somebody who actually could use that money to me that is a dbag thing to do.
Venomous!

I almost feel bad about the two-outer on the river. Your turned trip fives were completely concealed. And yes, I would have paid off a $700 value bet on the river if that jack hadn't come, there was more than enough in the pot.

The one time I played with JW was when the plo8 was under the rutunda like table 70. The lines for all nlhe were long so players would sit in the plo8 game so it was like a waiting station. The funny thing was it was like a miracle cure to get in the game you were waiting for, because no one seemed to last an orbit before they got called for thier game of choice.

Anyway he was with his girlfriend that day and got called for 1-2 nl after about 10 hands. Very nice guy to play with. As he stood up to leave, I asked if he minded i ask him a profession question, he said go ahead, so i asked if the people at Family Guy asked his permission to name the high school, the James Woods High school. He smiled and said he had a funny story about that, he was playing golf, i think he said Meadowbrook, but whereever, with someone associated with the show and that person asking him if he had minded they named the high school after him. He told them he didn't but would they do him a favor, which was to write him into the show, which is i guess how that came about.

When I got home a told my 18 year old daughter I had played with James Woods, and her eyes glazed over until I told her I was playing with Lester Diamond. That got her excited! (made sure my daughters have seen the classics)

One other encounter with James Woods, I was sitting at the plo8 table waiting to get it going and was reading a great book, he walked by and asked if it was similar to other books by this particular author. I told him it was much different and i highly suggested he go out and get a copy. He said he knows the author and would email him about getting a copy. The real James Woods would know the books name and author!

GOTF, If/when you getting down there tomorrow? Want to start up the PLO again? I'm thinking hi only.

Think you were eating dinner when I thought I had the nut low and there was no low possibility. Cost me a cool $80 so I'd like to avoid that.

Solid evidence (can't afford to buy a book), (along with him playing 1/2 to try to hit BBJ), that Woods is flat broke IMO.
