Confirmed. I was there today and I heard from 3 floor members that the megas are going to be held in the ballroom. BTW won the 10k guaranteed today (brag, chopped top 4). Did anyone else play in the tourney?

Can you buy in somewhere at the ballroom, or does it have to be in the poker room?

Hey guys kinda new here, I was just wondering how many runners the main event will get. I turn 21 the day of the $560 so I will be playing that and the main event.

I played with you at table 5, I think. Are you the heavy set guy that won 2,300 in the deal? If so, congrats again, you played well. I am the old dude with the scragly beard. We had fun going all in against each other and keeping score, chopped the pot with you when you pushed with AQ and I called with AQ.

No never played at tabled 5 today. If you saw the FT, I was the young player in between the heavy set guy and the old man. I was seat 6 at the FT, and played at table 1 for most of the day. The heavy set guy did take down the higher payout for the chop, so I guess he won. But I would have beat him eventually, so....

I'm hoping for a turnout like last August. From Foxwoods website:
May's events had 925 ($340), 415 ($560) and 166 ($1650) runners.
Last August events had 1063 ($340), 645 ($560) and 315 ($2000) runners.

If I had to guess I would say 250 runners for the main.

1st live donkament?

The main had a huge guarantee on it last August and ultimately had an overlay.

That tourney probably will still be there if that is what you heard. The area I was talking about didn't look that close to being done. I was just shocked when I was walking to the racebook because they removed a ton of slot machines that were there.

Just got confirm from Mark the TD and he said they will be having 60 tables setup in the ballroom and overflow to the poker room if necessary(obv $340 is getting more)

"The upstairs area will not be used for the Mega Stack. There will be 60 tables in the Ballroom. We anticipate that the $340 event on the 17th will spill over into the Poker Room.

Jeffrey"

Cool thanks. I actually might make it down there for that 340. Hotel room prices are ridic for that night though.

How late do they usually play Day 1 until?

Dodged a bullet today. Got a message from a guy who wanted to do an interview next week, but when I called back, he wanted to reschedule. So luckily, I'm still in the $340

In May, the Day 1 was from 11am till 1am

Hotel prices aren't that bad; You have to call and use the special Group #. See here:

Ya I was getting comped rooms before but they stopped this summer. I don't know why I wasn't even thinking of the poker rate. I just booked the Cedar for two nites at 129 each. Hope I can make it down there.

WTF at 48 dollars in taxes and fees on top of the rate for both nites. Damn.

Is that all from Poker? Or do you play pit games too. I was going more often for awhile but not really over the summer. I actually called back to arrive on the 16th instead fo 17th and they werent doing the poker rate for that day.

I'd be down there more often but my offers have sucked. I mean jeez on second thought I could book a flight to Vegas for 300 and go out there for 4 days and be comped at any Harrah's property.

DMB fan there was definetely some overlay...I believe there was a $750K guarantee on the main last August and there were 319 runners. It was this Jan or Feb during the Megas where they had the snowstorm and almost neglected to pay they overlay, but obv they realized that would be an EPIC misclick.
