The fee is comped along with the room. That's why I don't know yet what it is either

+1^^

Played with prof many times 5/10 and a couple of times 2/5. Usually buys in min and stacks off pre with A7o+... also when deep he calls 3 bets OOP with KJo+... will float any flop if he has a gutshot or an Ace draw if he feels "hot". Every flopped FDraw is going all-in.

GOTTA LOVE THE PROFESSSOR!!!!

I should be up there for a few of the events starting with the PLO monday. Will be in the 5/10 game as well between events. I am hopeful I will not need another floor ruling after last time I was up there. Ive found the floor to be helpful at times but when it comes to rulings, they are either incompetent or biased. I guess both is a possibility also or I just run into the worst of the bunch.

Not poker related but FW related: I have a question regarding free event tickets. I got an offer in the mail for two free tickets for some figure skating junk. My sister wants them, but the mailer said non transferable. So is it possible to get around this? I have never gotten free tickets from them before so I don't know how it is handled. Would I be able to grab them myself from the box office or whatever, then just walk away and hand them to my sister and her friend?

That should work. My father-in-law gets offers all the time, so when it's something my wife and I would like to see, he goes down, gets the tickets, gives them to us, and goes off to gamble while we watch the show. Just think of it as an excuse to play poker.

I think they could care less about who actually uses the tickets as long as it brings people to the casino. By non-transferable, I think they just don't want people scalping them (not that you could if you wanted to, with FW just giving them away).

Was at FW last night...seems to be a lot of interet in today's shootout just from talking to people. Did a quick glance at the board. Five 2-5 tables, four 5-10s (i think 3 were must moves though), a 75-150 SHOE, and a 150-300 OE.

No more call-ins during the Classic...booo.

Hey I got a quick question. Just wondering what the straddle rules are at FW? I'm going to be playing some 1/2 NL and I don't really play live much at all and never played at FW before. Just wanna know what their rules are regarding straddling and if anyone could help me out that would be awesome thanks.

You can straddle for $4 behind the big blind and get to act last on the first betting round. I do not believe you can do a button or Missisippi stradle like you can in Vegas.

I'll be making the trip as well, it's a nice overcast day to stay indoors and play some cards. Good luck!

This, unless you're playing three handed. Then you may not straddle.

ok u guys are actually understating how crazy gong, the professor is.

first of all, hes a professor of finance, i believe very high up, like head professor of finance, at boston university, which last time i checked, was a pretty good school.

also he has a special card which says "go all in" on it or something, that someone made for him as a joke, ask him to see it if you get a chance to talk to him, its hilarious! he calls it his "business card"

also, last time i was at the woods, i got really excited cause i heard them call a plo game. it was only 1-2 but i was ready to start it heads up with a friend. then i show up at the table with chips and theyre like "THIS IS PLO HI LOW. WE LOVE IDIOTIC SPLIT POT GAMES CAUSE WERE HUGE NIT BALLS"

rofl. can everyone who cares PLEASE make an effort when ur there to start 1-2 PLO HIGH lists...and 1-2 PLO HIGH games? i will make it a point to do so myself....we had one ONCE a long time ago, but i hate these nits who want to play split pot 1-2...seriously jesus

it wont be that hard to get it to be a regular thing, its only a matter of time before it becomes more popular, lets get it going

+1 for talking to the floor about PLO everytime you go there, if 50 people ask the front kiosk they have to do something about keeping a steady game running, but like my man said NO PLO 8, I don't necessarily think PLO 8 is a nitty game just the players it attracts, i myself love playing PLO 8 and scooping monster pots off of clueless fish who "wanna try out a hi/lo game" but in all seriousness, PLO Hi, ftfw

You can just pick them up and give them to your sister. You have to show your dream card/ID to get the tickets, but the tickets themselves don't have any names/dream card #s on them.

If that's the rule, then luckily, not all of the dealers know it. I've definitely straddled on the button before when playing three handed.
