Trip Report (and comparisons vs opening day):
Got to Encore around 12.30pm, some minor traffic on the main road, but not too bad. Lots of parking, parked right near North Elevators and took to the Mezzanine level which lets you off in the poker room. SO convenient. Parking is free, just ask poker check in desk to validate your ticket, no red card needed or anything.
Red coat actually asked for me ID. I haven't been ID'd in a long time. He actually looked at it for like 20 seconds. I said, yeah, math is tough when you have to figure out an age from someone born in the mid 70's.
He laughed a little. I did have a small day hiking backpack with me, and didn't mention it or search it.
Played 5/10 until around 10pm. Some differences from opening day. Cashiering line, both getting chips and cashing out WAY better and faster. I had a clear view of the line all day and never saw it say more than 10-12 people. And whenever it was over 10 I always heard an announcement please use table 19 to buy chips.
Dealers. Very improved from opening day. None were bad. Some were ok, most were good to very good. Collecting time much more efficient as well.
Drink Service. Hit and miss, mostly hit. 75% of the day they were around every 20 minutes or so. 15% of the time we didn't see anyone for almost an hour. 10% of the time 2 ladies were asking at the same time at the same table. You'd think they have sections to deal with, maybe not?! So overall better than opening day.
Food. I didn't order. But a few guys at my table did and were surprised how quickly it came. Can't comment or taste. Supposedly the menu changed and less items now to choose from is what I heard also.
Overall. Good improvements from opening day and I like what management is doing.
