They're fully staffed and usually have all available tables rocking during peak hours. It's just that good right now. Even if you're deep in the waiting list it isn't a terrible wait. I was 83rd last night and was seated in about 35 minutes.

2.) Same scenario as above, except let's say you registered for the waiting list via PokerAtlas.

3.) Someone earlier in the thread mentioned giant waiting lists for 1/3 and 2/5 recently...is this a situation of Encore not anticipating demand correctly, and not having dealers on hand?
1&2 - any time you're on a list and don't respond they'll assume you've left and remove you. If you sign up online, you need to select "arrived" to activate your name. If after tapping "arrived" you don't answer when called you'll be removed.

3 - the tables usually are all full or close to it. Keep in mind any room does want a short list. If you don't have a list, as players leave now you've got a dozen tables playing 5-8 handed instead of full (especially bad when the smokers go outside for 15 minutes).

I was just surprised that the waiting list got that high to begin with...I figured they'd start opening new tables before they got to that point. A 35 minute wait for being in 83th is pretty incredible, though. :O!

Hm, okay, so does that mean I can register for a waiting list while I'm driving down, wait to activate, get to the top of the list, and then only activate once I've actually made it to the poker room? That'd be great, if so.

Understood about the poker room wanting a waiting list to keep pre-existing tables from breaking, that makes sense.

Dude. They have 70 games running. It’s a major metropolitan area. I don’t understand how you don’t get it.

You have to be within 30 miles to add yourself.

Kinda. When you register on the app you have 1 hour to arrive. If you don't arrive by then, the system automatically removes you. Once you register online, your spot on the wait list is held but those that are already at the room (arrived after registering online or just went up to the host and asked to be put on the list) get sat until you select "arrived". At that point your spot is active, whether you're at the top of the list or not depends on your original spot when you registered and how the list has been moving. In the pic, the names with the green poker chip are app registrations that haven't arrived yet.

I haven't played a ton of live poker, but someone mentioned an 80+ person waiting list. Maybe that's more common than I realize, but that's what prompted my question.

Okay, great. Thanks for those details. I live within 30 miles of the casino, so that'll work nicely for me.

Where are you looking? I don't see any way to see comp dollars online.

Yup me too no points on card when looking on line.
So I called and rep said I had 56 comp points but I played only bout 15 hours?

Called next day and rep said I had no comp points and put me through to another dept but no one answered and I hung up after 15 mins.
Will go to desk next time to find out.

Trip Report (and comparisons vs opening day):

Got to Encore around 12.30pm, some minor traffic on the main road, but not too bad. Lots of parking, parked right near North Elevators and took to the Mezzanine level which lets you off in the poker room. SO convenient. Parking is free, just ask poker check in desk to validate your ticket, no red card needed or anything.

Red coat actually asked for me ID. I haven't been ID'd in a long time. He actually looked at it for like 20 seconds. I said, yeah, math is tough when you have to figure out an age from someone born in the mid 70's. He laughed a little. I did have a small day hiking backpack with me, and didn't mention it or search it.

Played 5/10 until around 10pm. Some differences from opening day. Cashiering line, both getting chips and cashing out WAY better and faster. I had a clear view of the line all day and never saw it say more than 10-12 people. And whenever it was over 10 I always heard an announcement please use table 19 to buy chips.

Dealers. Very improved from opening day. None were bad. Some were ok, most were good to very good. Collecting time much more efficient as well.

Drink Service. Hit and miss, mostly hit. 75% of the day they were around every 20 minutes or so. 15% of the time we didn't see anyone for almost an hour. 10% of the time 2 ladies were asking at the same time at the same table. You'd think they have sections to deal with, maybe not?! So overall better than opening day.

Food. I didn't order. But a few guys at my table did and were surprised how quickly it came. Can't comment or taste. Supposedly the menu changed and less items now to choose from is what I heard also.

Overall. Good improvements from opening day and I like what management is doing.

The security guy by the elevator came up to me and said "can I ask you something?". I said sure...he said "are you playing against one another or with each other?" He added, quite unnessarily, "I don't really know much about poker. "

I told him that we're playing against each other and tried not to laugh.

^^^ Cute story. I get that question a lot from curious normies. You have to remember that most know poker to be them versus a dealer or a machine. They have trouble fathoming a casino game that you play against other patrons. A colleague asked me just the other day how the house makes money if we are not playing against them. I've been taking lots of questions since Encore opened.

This aligns with my experience last night. Things seem to be improving rapidly.

I agree that everything is quickly improving but the one thing that still happens is that a cocktail server will take your drink order then go on an hour long break! Seriously!

Not sure how a business is responsible for crappy network coverage inside their establishment. One of the biggest reasons Verizon does so well inside buildings is because the frequencies they "own" are better at penetrating structures. Maybe ask AT&T to put up more/better transmitters nearby? Or do what I do whenever I'm outside Sprint coverage and just use either WiFi calling (available on my Samsung phones) or the Google Voice app over WiFi.

So there is a problem with comp dollars not being added to individual accounts. Encore is aware of the problem and is working on it

How can it be that an organization such as Wynn Resorts cannot come up with a program showing a players real-time points but Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun can? This is so annoying.

Why would you think that they don’t? They do. It’s broken. They’re fixing it
