When i hit 30 nights on the calendar, all my future green days disappeared. They reappeared after a weekend stay.

Not exactly authoritative proof of a cap (since i may have just been in the midst of some sort of offer change), but you know it's at least 30 now.

On a somewhat related side note, my Fiore reservation for this weekend got turned into a regular Classic by Marketing. I know the comp reservation room types are not guaranteed, but this one was changed ahead of time and without any notification. A notification would have been nice. So, maybe just a bust weekend, but perhaps another minor blip on a subtle trend towards lesser treatment for poker players.

I used to have no cut-off that I know of, then I started to having fun away from the poker table and was reduced to 20. So you know if you are at 30 and fall in love or worship false gods (trop, parx, Sands) you may be reduced to 20 too!

My question is: When are we going to bring back five card Draw?

And get rid of table stakes! Sure, it'll slow down the game, but i'll wait for folks to go to the ATM to continue in the hand.

J/k obviously, but just saw Big Hand/Little Lady and the way they used to play seems so bizarre sometimes.

Special is probably not word i would use, but there are a couple of players who generally only show up on Sunday that push the game towards a nastier atmosphere. One player is particular just has an air of nastiness inherent in every motion she makes and almost every word she says. And a perpetual frown to cap off the image. They know how to play, too, so there's no real "game is better" trade-off to make up for it.

Btw, i keep thinking "who the heck are all you people posting about the O8 game?" i have no idea who you guys are. I look at the table and all i see are folks who may not even know what the Internet is. Don't really want to know either, just thought it was interesting.

Yeah, that is really impressive; maybe some 20 players moving down to chase the large jackpot? Or even some no limit players thinking it would be easier to hit at 10-20, who knows.

I really need to move to Jersey.

The smokers won't do what they please if SOMEONE takes the initiative to stop them. How about even addressing the issue in this forum?

Did you find out if those are the places to file a complaint? Or are you just guessing? Thanks.

And I've seen your recommendations. But like I have said, the onus should be on the smokers to obey the law. Not on the non smokers to seek out the bathroom of the moment in the casino that has smoke free air to breath.

Just because Stan runs the poker room doesn't make him hall monitor. File a complaint with the front desk, HOTEL OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT, talk to cleaning crew, security, call out the perpetrator.

I have already stated that the Bathroom adjacent to Seablue behind the gift shop across from Bread and Butter is a much better option. (clean, plenty of stalls and urinals so no wait, Never once smelled smoke here).

OR

Take the escalator downstairs to the cafeteria, make your first right and down the corridor, Small bathroom here with about 4 urinals and 3 stalls. Once again never have I smelled smoke in this bathroom as well.

This is two close options that I use anyways due to when the breaks happen, 100+ people rush toward the poker room bathroom.

and now you are an adult because you have realized that life isn't fair. those extra years you get from not smoking aren't worth much if you're a miserable complainer the whole time.

I did not look into filing a complaint at all, these were just my suggestions and nothing more. If you in fact call and find out the proper person and/or agency to file a complaint with, I will gladly do so myself as well.

I just don't see the point in clogging up with forum with complaints. Yes, this is the Borgata Poker thread, but should be poker related discussions. (Not Hotel related issues) I once again understand it is only the bathroom in the poker room that has this issue, but this isn't the proper place to get anything accomplished.

E-mail, write a letter, make a phone call and have your voice heard by more than a dozen or so regulars who visit this forum. Management will be the ones to take care of this issue.

Well, here's an update. Stan hooked it up with the room.

I'm looking to start playing live a lot more and wanted to start going to Borgata as it's the closest decent casino to where I live, Baltimore. What do I have to do to get comped rooms there on a regular basis to help keep the costs down? Thanks.

TBH, As of recently poker players have been getting rooms comped. You will still need to log some hours at the tables to get a room comped. But before that I had to play Slots for hours or table games to get a room comped. It is currently 2 nights/wk comped, with Sunday-Thursday being easiest to get comped, then Friday and finally Saturday.

You will get discounted room rates for more than 2 nights a week, to make an extended stay around 79.99 for a 3rd night. They have a $5 night occupancy fee for comped rooms which I gladly pay every and each time.

hello, just curious about the o8 game. it always seems to have a table going, sometimes 2. are almost all these players the same regulars? is it even profitable? is there like a few regs that are really fish with deep pockets that continue to play anyway? ...kinda wondering what sustains this game..

It's mostly just terrible regs trading money back and forth. The game is usually really soft.

The O8 regs aren't good players, but they aren't bad either. They will play too many hands, but they know to fold non-nut hands when pressed. If you have a whole table of regs, you have better opportunities elsewhere in the room. The 2nd and 3rd tables of O8 are where the good money and action are.

I disagree. They draw to awful lows all the time and put way too much in when they get there.
