I'm in Sunnyside, Queens. It takes me 2 1/2 hours to drive home from AC with no traffic, that includes a rest stop. Going to AC is dependent upon traffic.

Were you sitting on my left or on my right. Either way it was nice to meet you.

At any rate, the game was a blast to play. It was full w/list for awhile, but people wandered away to play other games and stuff. There was a crazy amount of people who came up to just watch for awhile though.

I'm confident we could get it running regularly, and am absolutely in to play this coming weekend (or whenever I can get down).

People should spread the word and get as many people interested as possible, as I feel like once people sit and see how fun it is (and the stakes are perfect imo, big enough that you can actually make a little money, but small enough to keep the atmosphere fun and friendly) they'll play more often.

Good times!

I was the guy sitting to your left (at about the 8 seat).

It was definitely a nice fun game - and just the right stakes for learning (at least for me).

BTW the borgata Poker Open is on T.V. right now. GSN. I love to announce the game on the stage live to the croud. Tab and I take turns every 45 minutes or so we switch up. They make us wear black suits so we blend into the background. It's fun as hell though!

Was that you who made the ruling about the tip not being allowed?

I guess you're right. I just moved out here from the east end, where it would take me about 3 1/2 hours to get to AC. Either way it is definitely not a bad trip if you leave at the right times.

RE: 4/8 stud 8 game

Was it a white $1 chip game, or did the cage just give everyone redbirds also ?

How much did everyone buy in for ? $200 ?

I can see the look on the face of the guy behind the cage with people walking up asking for a couple racks of whites...

apologies if this is the wrong place to ask this, but i figured since its the borgata thread....

im thinking about playing one of the nlhe events at the summer open; about how long can you expect to play during the first day (assuming you survive it)? i see the structure on their site, but theres no mention of at which level the day is over. im assuming its at least ten hrs given the levels/breaks/dinner breaks....

Most of the tournaments are only one day tournaments. Hopefully these links will help you.

thanks for the reply; the first event is what i was thinking about though....im just wondering how many levels will follow the dinner break, or if there's just a designated "end time". its going to be my first "big" tourney; would just like to be prepared for the length as much as possible. i'll probably be bumped way before its a concern, but just in case...

We played with all whites. It attracted a lot of attention when there would be a mountain of 300 white chips in the pot...part of the reason onlookers kept stopping to ask about the game.

Most bought in for 2 or 3 racks of white iirc.

Hi Stan,

Appricate all the time up u take to log the game reports and answer our questions.

Similar to the question above, what level do you anticipate stopping day 1 of the Deep Stack June 15th tourney. It says it's slated as a 2 day tourney. Also, any idea of how many runners that one may draw?

I'm slated to play in it and I can't wait.

25K chips with a great structure and 45 min levels......simply awesome.

Also..

Does the Borgata have a "if a game has a long enough interest list we'll spread it" policy? Example 4-8 or 5-10 O8? or a smaller stakes two way game? 4/8 Stud8/O8 combo?

I'll be there Sat June 13th and Sund June 15th playing cash games before the deepstack starts Monday and would love to play something than my normal 2-5 NL game. (Yes, I did see the 4-8 Stud 8 posts) I'd def sit in that game with a few racks.

Thanks again for your dedication to the forum.

Day 1A and Day 1B will last 16 levels, which is around 2am.

No idea on the total entrants but we would love to have 500 +.

No policy to prevent a good game. I would prefer $4-$8 only because the action is tremendous. Beats the $5-$10 hands down.

As I said before, I'm always down to start 4/8 stud8 (Or a 2 way stud8/omaha8 mix) and run it short for awhile if need be until it fills.

Feel free to PM me or start threads for when people want to play. I'll be around the Borg most of June.
