FYI the 4/8 HOSE game was SICK!!!!!!!!!!

played for about 7 hours today with no less then 8 people at all times... stacks were deep, pots were huge and 2nd nut low draws were SCOOPED!!!!!

highly recommended to ANYONE who loves all the games... even if you normally play higher! we had a wide range of players... some 20/40 holdem players, some 10/20 2way... some 1/2 NL.... we had a blast!

long story short, i cashed out 4 racks of white and was still stuck! blah!!!!!!! but it was fun! hope to see some of you guys again!!!!

ONLY thing I can kinda complain about is that the dealers dropped several bad beat dollars on games that didn't warrant them... the table probably lost $20 until we finally "plugged the hole" to the bad beat for OSE but other then that the dealers were excellent!

1-2 plo and 4/8 hose running alot. I might be making a trip tomorrow with the great games running.

Quick question. Is the water club attached to the casino? If not is it a safe and short walk? Also arre the second chance tournaments in the poker room or ball room? Thanks guys!!!!

Why so light?? Maybe too many tournies in the Summer Open?

No. Tab and I are qustioned all time why the Summer Open is in June instead of May or another month that the World Series of Poker is not running. The answer is simple, we decided to run this tournament for the individuals that for any reason decided that they could not make it to Vegas. We knew going in the last couple of years that the fields were not going to absolutely huge. infact since the tournament is in the poker room with the live games, we make the schedule so that we have between 250 and 400 per tournament (if we get more great if less thats ok as well). Just like yesterday all 85 tables were in action by 3pm. It wouldn't have done us any good to have had more players either in live action or tournament. We have added two HU tournys this year along with the PLO and O/8. I am truly impressed with the tournament so far, sorry your not but everyone seems to be having a good time

Last year's Summer Open had 15 events.....this year 23! The first 1k event last year had 376 entries. It just seems to me that it's been watered down a bit this year, that's all. BTW, I'm playing in event #16....looking for a big field...and looking forward to meeting you.

stan, why are the $300 events +$50 when the normal weekly $300 events are +$40?

I guess you could say that we watered it down on pourpose (a little bit). it's a fine line to walk with the 85 tables. Don't want to upset the live or tournament players by not having tables available to play. Hope to meet you as well.

I would have to look at the schedule again to see how many $300 events we have. If my memory is correct most are $350 + $50. But you are correct the the $300's should have been $40.

Wow, didn't catch that. Already registered and paid the $50 via credit card for event 23. (no big deal anyway). I would have loved to get down for some earlier events, but alas kids and work and all.

The wife is sending the kids to friends overnight and bringing me down Sunday the 28th for my birthday. Dinner at Izakaya, a night at the tables and event 23 on Monday. Win or lose, I can't wait.

I have a question about parking in AC, how bad is it, i plan on driving up from the south, i plan on staying in one of the hotels in Absecon, probably Travel Lodge or something similar, just want to get an idea of how the commute will be from Absecon to the casinos once i get there, best places to park my car is what im looking for, thanks in advance for your replies.

To answer you questions, parking isn't bad, but it's not free, there is about a 10-15 minute commute from Absecon to AC, park at the casino at which you're planning to play and it is usually $5, you could park for free at Caesars if you get a gold card then get a parking voucher after earning 25 reward credits which is real easy to do, in theory you can do the same at showboat but it takes a while for the credits to show up, you can't do that at Harrah's even though it seems you should be able to since they're all Harrah's properties, you're welcome.

I was at the B on Sat looking for the stud 4-8 H/L game but ended up sitting at 3-6 and 5-10 limit for a bit. I left after about two hours to meet friends for dinner. Did the stud game ever go or is that idea dead? They had 6 or 7 on the list but I guess that most were at the HOSE game.

I usually play hold'em but have been playing a lot of stud h/l on-line and figure I'd be able to keep the damage down to a rack or two of whites.

I considered the HOSE game but O8 and straight stud aren't in my bag of tricks - meager as it is anyway. If I do a little learning maybe I'll give it a shot in a week or two.

I'm heading up to Borgata for a week for the BSO and dont plan on moving my car once its parked, is parking a flat $5 on the way out or will I have to pay more since I will be staying for awhile?
