Nah, I showed up, seven hands in, saw 99 in the big blind. UTG+1 made a standard 3x raise, I shoved my stack, he called with AQ. Safe flop but a Q hit the turn and I went walking. What was sick though, was that the chip leader (literally, 1/201) was sitting on my left. He had 499,500 chips. I was salivating. Oh well, wasn't meant to be. I ran like **** all day on Sunday and my bad luck continued this morning. Not much I can do but move on.

Edit: Just realized I already divulged the chip leader thing. I'm so exhausted.

Also Stan--could you perhaps tell us how Steve Dannenman fared/is faring? He had a nice stack to begin day two.

Adding myself to the list of people who are having a problem with their online offers. I'm a poker room regular and have gone from a couple comp nights & 7 day poker rate, to just about nothing on the new "comp calendar."

Stan - can we assume this is a temporary thing, or should we all check with you individually on our status?

My guess is the upper mgmt (sorry, not Stan) revamped what qualifies for a room offer.

While I still get 2 rooms/night (Mon-Thurs) at all 4 Harrah's resorts (Harrahs, Bally, Casears, Showboat), and I haven't played there in 8 months, the B is tightening their standards...

Perhaps they are selling their rooms more, or in lieu of declining revenue reduced they comp offers (likely).

You'll prob have to play a $1 slot for an hour, and/or a $10+ table game for 2 hours to get back into their good graces.

Poker play apparantly doesn't do it as they don't make as much off of you as at a table game.

I was getting comped rooms all summer when everything was busy. Now it's winter and empty so that doesn't make too much sense. Plus I believe Stan said (page 352) that they weren't cutting back. The weirdest part isn't really the comps - it's that the poker rate doesn't show up anymore. I doubt that the Borgata is going to stop offering a poker rate to regular players.

It's either an online glitch in how the offers are displayed, or our individual accounts are a little screwed up. I'll have to check with Stan I guess.

Played @ Borgata from Friday to Tuesday this past weekend. Got to meet Stan. He lived up to the hype in this thread. Thanks Stan for taking the time out to chat.

Also played 2/5 NLHE, 10/20 LHE, 10/20 O8, pink chip O8, 1/2 PLO, and two tournaments. We got PLO going on Friday, Saturday, and Monday. Yes, Monday. And pink chip O8 ran pretty much all night Sunday night. I think there were three 10/20 LHE games going on Sunday. I believe the Harrah's WSOP events and the Borgata 200k guarantee tournament really juiced the cash game action.

I now also understand the hype behind the pink chip games. The pink chip O8 game was awesome. The 10/20 O8 game is good, but not as good as pink chip. I was disappointed on Monday when the 10/20 O8 regs opted to play 10/20 instead of 7.5/15. Their response to me telling them that more people would play 7.5/15 and the action would be better was that, "There's too many chips. You think you have all this money and you actually have nothing." They also didn't understand me when I told them that the massive amount of chips is part of what makes the game good.

Regulars tend to want the games they want, not the games that offer best action.

Maybe next time you can try to convince them that different colored m&ms taste different.

Hi guys,
Does the 2/5 PLO game still get spread at AC? It used to be the only one one could play; I'm happy there's a 1/2 game there now, but not at the expense of 2/5! Does it get spread on Saturday nights at least?

Absolutely not true! Not everyone will get the same offer every two months. Some offers may be reduced because of the prior two months play. On the other hand some offers may have gotten better for the people who played more the last two months.

Thinking back on the game I am able to remember a few situations in which a player min raised a pot giving a partner a chance to reraise and squeeze other players in a bad spot. It is possible that such play could result purely out of playing for one's own self interest in the game, but taken together with JayRounder's post I have no choice but to question what was going on. Such admissions should be publicly condemned and fair play encouraged in your card room.
I read the post as well. The Borgata will not accuse anyone of cheating without proper evidence. I would need more evidence than someone min raising.
