This just might be brilliant: a pink chip PLO game with 1/2.5 blinds.

Only pink chips play post flop. This makes the game easy to run and track. It also borrows some of the thunder of the famous pink chip limit games, and brings people in to play entry-level PLO and kick starting interest in the game that everyone keeps trying to get going. . . .

I can see this game going if they announced an interest list in "pink chip omaha" over the loud speaker on a Friday night.

Brem, do you know if there is a max amount of cash/bills you can cash out with at the Borg?

There is a small list but with the weather being so nice today we expected a slow start. We should have one later on today! I am really pushing the game for you guys.

You can cash out up to $10k with no paperwork in the poker room. I personally have cashed out more than that in the high limit pit with no paperwork. The cashiers there dont even blink when you hand them a fist full of gray chips; they just cash you out like you asked for change of a $20.

Lol @ a max cashout. I mean there may be one but darned if any poker player knows. Heck I've watched 600-1200 players reload with cash. It takes quite awhile to count out 500 $100 bills.

i dont get the lol at the max cash out question. surely there is a legal cutoff for a casino to cash out a player with bills, no?

From Ocean's Eleven:
The Nevada Gaming Commission stipulates: a casino must hold in reserve enough cash to cover every chip at play on its floor...
This makes sense. A casino has got to be able to cash out their players regardless of the amounts of their cashouts.

Of course, it might take a little while to get a large amount of cash together. The question is: How much cash is a large amount for a casino?

lol, I have a full time job Unfortunately this means I mostly play during the week (I'm sure you can relate to not getting weekends off ). This Friday I'm cheating on you and going to a Phillies game (big shock, I'm a Phillies fan )

Given that I have a two hour commute to AC I am unsure of how much longer I can keep up my current habits. Some people can't understand why I didn't quit my job long ago

Nice to see that you checked out our web-site!
I will try and give some particulars on the cash giveaway

1. Everyone playing in a live poker game at the times mention (10a 1pm 4pm 7p and 10p) will be handed a drawing ticket by a floor person. Onced filled out (name and Borgata #) the tickets will be picked up by the floor person and the tickets will be dropped into the drawing drum located in the poker room. Only authorized borgata personell will be allowed to access the drum.

2. tickets can not be transferred to others. if a player refuses the drawing ticket for any reason the blank ticket will be handed back to the floor prson.
(this gives everyone a fair chance at winning and does not let a person gain advantage by asking for unwanted tickets)

3. the tickets are NOT discarted after each thursdays drawing. (example if you earn three tickets on May 3rd, those tickets will still be in the drum at the $10,000 drawing on May 28th. this means all tickets earned the first week have a chance to win all four thursdays. There are only one ways in which that drawing ticket will not be in the drum on the last day and that reason is the ticket was drawn on any prior thursday.

So start earning your tickets at 10a sunday may 3.

See ya at the Borgata.

Stan

Friday and saturday it ran straight through from friday sometime until about 4am sunday morning.

I didn't get in friday as the list was very big. I did however play on saturday. I know a little about PLO and have always wanted to play but 2-5 is a little steep and i'm glad to see that they started spreading it at 1-2 with a 500 max buy in. I had a great time too, game was lively and very juicy, people were not afraid to call big bets with terrible holdings.

Anybody who knows this game should do very well at it.

One example hand i saw.

Early position guy pots it preflop to 10 (no limpers pot raise is to $8 and add $2 for each additional limper)

5 to flop.

Flop is J 8 3
Raiser(R) pots and is called by 1 player(C). Total in pot now is $150

Turn J 8 3 10
R now checks, C now pots for $150 and R calls, pot is now $450

River J 8 3 10 2
R checks, C goes all in for a little over 200 and R insta-calls.

C shows 78910 for the straight, no flush, R shows AAXX.

He basically called off $400 with 1 pair on a straight and flush board. There were several players like this.
