I like the game, but that number has the potential to squeeze my bankroll (I gotta make it 3 1/2 days on $1K..and again...I suck...I'm trying...but I am not a winning cash game player, and I know it). The only other regularly spread O8 game I've heard about is the 2/4 at the Taj...and I sat that once...you'll note I'm not anxious to go back...

Assuming I decide to man up and take a shot (meh, it's only money...), round about when does the game usually get running?

Is there a bridge game between the 3-6 LHE and the 7.5/15 LHE available, just never spread because of lack of interest? Something in the 4-8 or 5-10 range?

Finally, I have a red card I signed up for but never used back...geez...3 years ago now...is it still good to go, or am I going to need to get a new one?
it takes 10 seconds to get a new one

i lost 4 in like 7 days a couple weeks ago

Having the same exact time charge as a level that has higher stakes IMO isn't the best idea I mean a good player can make 1bb/hr when you consider rake at 10/20, but when the rake is the same at 7.50/15 it makes your winrate drop below what it could be. You can argue that the level of play at the lower level is worse making you able to offset this, but I am glad to see Borgata considering rake rather than time.

Took a shot at 20/40 this weekend at the Borgata. In the first 10 minutes of shorthanded must move play, I lost $800. In the next 7 minutes, before our table broke, made back $600. At the main game worked up to get to $800 profit before leaving up $157 ater 7 hours. Not big swings in that level but man when you're not used to the level it seems big. Thankfully I did not tilt or let the size of the pots control me, so I was happy.

If you have the 2 midweek nights offer for the Borgata, when you check in is it possible to get a free upgrade to the water club if you ask? Or is Waterclub strictly for paying customers and high rollers? Interested in seeing the Waterclub difference.

FWIW, I like the regular Borgata rooms better than the Waterclub, though the Waterclub is a little closer to the poker room and the valet is quicker. That might just be my personal taste, but at best there isn't much of a difference between the regular rooms and Waterclub rooms.

Stan,

With all due respect, I understand that you have to balance whats good for the card room with what the players want. Bottom line is that more $ will come off the table for Borgata with rake as opposed to time. While I accept your decision to rape the game, err... I mean rake it, I disagree with the reduced comp time. My last complaint/suggestion would be to reinstate the $2/hour comp rate. Once again, I thank you for your interaction with us on this forum.

sfetaz what day did u play the 20/40? I was at the MM table Saturday for about four hours from 3-7.

As for the PCG changes donotwant.jpg. I'll never get why people complain about time charge when it's clearly less money going to the casino and more staying on the table. I would rather have seen the time charge AND comp go down together so that the 10/20 game was priced accordingly.

I'll still probably play for a while this weekend though because I bought a PINK shirt just for the game and I don't want it to go waste....lol plus I have a sexy time prop bet with the wife if I wear the pink shirt out in public.

I also agree that Time charge was better for the PCG. However I have played the game quite a bit since it started and everyone that sat was a little befuddled when it came to paying time. They made it seem like the casino was kicking them while they were down. They did not having to pay up front and rather preferred to pay when they were involved in a hand.

The weekend cant get here fast enough gonna try to satty into the BPO ME.

Hey Stan, is there a certain person I should call or talk to about getting poker rate? I'm offered a poker room rate sun-thurs, but was hoping to book one for a Sat, on 9/26. Thanks for your help.

One good thing about the rake in the PCG is that it would get rid of a lot of the whites on the table. Pretty much every pot would get $5 taken off, so there would be no white chips infused into people's stacks. You'd only have to break the pink chips occasionally for the tips.

It didn't get rid of anybody.

There was only one black guy though, we all had to pay it, all of the whites stayed and payed it if we wanted to continue to play...

Why not just rake 1 pink chip per hand up to $30, and 2 chips over $30 with giving back a white $1 to the pot.

The white chips would be used for tips and never would be used or allowed in play.

I don't see the problem.
