Just moved from Vegas to Scottsdale so I think I'll start playing here. How many runners does the monthly end tournament get usually?

I live at Shea and I would never in a million years even consider making that walk. Even if it was 68 degrees and I had naked women carrying me, I still wouldn't consider it.

It's ~ a 1 hour walk. A proper poker player would crawl through a desert of broken glass in 110 degree heat to get to a poker game, get w/ the program.

Ha, that's why he's a stock trader. The original way of making a living in your underwear in the living room, long before online poker came around.

Money went in on the flop. Winner had a set of 2's, 8 seat had pocket aces, 2 seat had ace high flush draw, and 3 seat had k high flush draw, and 6 seat never showed. Winner didn't even need the full boat at the end

WOW! Crazy! Love it when the $2/$3 game turns into a tournament mid hand.

It was the craziest game I've played in awhile! No chopped pots, no raises less than $20, 3 and 4 betting like and right, and two horrible fishes in between all that. Made $659 in 2 hours of play, plus the $200 I won spinning the wheel.

That was in our younger days.

Poker players are willing to put up w/ nearly anything, it's incredible. Until recently the average temperature in The Arena was 1,237,665 degrees and did anybody get up and walk out? No they did not, including me. I DID pour a bottle of water over myself one time. How sick is that?

The fact of the matter is that if the only game in town was spread in the middle lane of an interstate during a hurricane players would show up and that's a fact, Jack.

I know I'd walk it if I had to bec now I'm in much better shape thanks to my newly improved physical condition.

Hi I have some noob questions if someone doesn't mind answering. Sorry if they've been asked many times.

Best place to park for poker?
how do food comps work? Do they roll over and can I use it outside the poker room?
any rules I need to know about, like phone use or betting line?
Is there free wifi?
thanks

The lots/parking structure to the left as you come in are closest to the poker room.

After you play a certain number of hours, when you swipe out or swipe to continue, you'll get a notification in the system that you've earned some comps and to see the front desk. Go do that, and they will print you a voucher which is good for 1 year. Don't wait too long - I did it the next day, and they had to look through a stack of old vouchers from the previous day. At some point I'm sure they just get tossed.

Not sure if it can be used anywhere.

I don't recall any specific gotcha rules.

I think wifi is only available to hotel guests, as there was a weekly password.

I have been told the food comps can only be used in the poker room, but I have not tried anywhere else.

Employees give the wifi password to anyone, and it only changes every few months.

Can i save up the food vouchers and like use two 7$ ones at the same time? Do they care if you ask for it to go?

Thanks for the help

You can only use one $7 voucher per order. I haven't tried, but I'm guessing the waitresses could take two separate orders at the same time for you though, if you wanted two things that each cost $7 or more.

I have never seen a to-go order, but they will give you a box for leftovers, so I guess a workaround would be to order it for here and immediately ask for a leftover box if it is not technically allowed.

That is correct. They can't package it for you to go, but will bring you a meal and a box at the same time no problem.

Just ask the lady at the main podium, and she will give you the first one available that doesn't make tables unbalanced.
