Attention 20-40 lagtards!

I will be visiting CAZ this weekend (Thurs-Sun), and plan to lose some money to you. Feel free to buy me a drink while you bleed me dry. Look forward to meeting some of you B+M'ers - I look vaguely like my avatar.

I haven't had much luck so far (granted, this was in the afternoon), but 3 visits for over an hour each with little or no list movement on the single 3/5 game running, and no mix game at all.

Am I SOL unless I'm there on a Friday/Saturday night?

That must be because it is the afternoon. It is usually easy to get into one of the 3/5 games.

From my limited attempts to play so far (I've only been in Arizona a week), there are 2-3 tables of 2/3 in the afternoon; I couldn't speak for evenings.

There's been a mix game pretty much everyday.

Interesting ruling came up last night in the $2/3 game...

a few limps and sb raises to $12, bb raises to $45, sb all in, bb calls for about $150 each.

A player not in the hand says something along the lines of "oh man I want to see those hands".

Dealer immediately says "ok guys turn them up". BB player is like "wtf, I'm not showing this is a cash game". SB turns up AA. BB doesn't want to show. Dealer (white guy about 40) starts raising his voice and asserting his authority VERY LOUDLY saying BB is required to show because of the other player (who folded preflop) saying "I want to see those hands".

Board runs out and BB has 99 and wins when he makes a flush lol.

I ask the dealer about the rule and he says it's only to prevent collusion. Obviously I inquire about whether or not he thinks the players were colluding to win the $6 in blinds out there. Dealer seems dumbstruck and drops it quickly saying, "yeah the rule gets abused a lot". Gee, I wonder why...

Ruling isn't too interesting. IWTSTH is pretty standard in almost all casino cardrooms.

I must just be running bad then, because I went again last night and it still didn't go. (as of 9:30 pm)

The 3/5 games, however, finally got going once the after-work crowd showed up...so apparently I've just been showing up too early. Went from 1 table to 4 tables between 4-5pm.

That's a little over my head, but I didn't see it either. I got on the list for 40/80 (I think I was 6th or so), but never heard it called.

I noticed that too...how is that a good reason? Couldn't they just have a sign saying it is used at your own risk? Actually, maybe it did use to say that. As of Friday night hey were still allowing people to plug their own chargers in the outlets in the high limit section, where they still could get stolen.

The only wall outlets I have found are way in the back behind the tournament tables, and I am reluctant to use those. I have seen outlets under the tables in some rooms, but haven't noticed them here.

I just bought this to stay charged:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You can charge two devices at once and can also lend out to other players at table which I've found to be very good for games. I'll always have on me so if anyone needs a charge please feel free to ask. Works great and has already paid for itself a few times over.

Business opportunity - Invent a pay charging station that's half vending machine and half bus station storage locker. You pay a buck, open up a little box where you plug in your gadget to charge, and come back later to pick it up. It can't be stolen because you have the key, which is captured by the box when you open it up again. The juice doesn't turn on until the buck is deposited, to foil the cheapskates that will charge for free and roll the dice wrt to thievery.

The 3/5 starts with the same people at 9am. Also, recently it has been going throughout the night into the morning and continued from there.
