I guess if you are going to call a 3bet with J9o then at least try and flop a straight.

Its funny but Ive played really well this morning and I was just about to finish up my session when that hand came about and I had already decided as a reward because I knew I was up and playing well I was going to check my results. Obviously that happened and all I can see is the last hour or so of solid poker is wiped out.

Got to see how I react to that now because I dont feel I did much wrong in the sessions apart from maybe folding the flush on the river but the results oriented me just sees a BE session. The thing is if I keep playing like I have then I know I will do well.

Just had a thought, I know there has been a lot of talk about cognitive restructuring and things in this thread and I think I saw it wrote about somewhere once as well how in the deliberate practice model if you visualize something it becomes easier to do. Well I was thinking I could pull out all the hands where I faced a river raise and made the wrong decision, hell theres been a lot, and picture myself making the fold over and over as I go through the hands.

The reality is that I need to practice making those folds but they dont come up in game all that often to do that.

I have a tendancy to check results too. And I dont think its a massive deal.... EXCEPT...

...when you see the current result as being the expected end result. (ie.. You visualise yourself ending up the session with the current result.)

As soon as you think "Great I am up 2 buyins!" you're screwed.

It hit me the other night when I did it, and I really saw the error of my ways. I wish there was a way to disable the Active Session tab in HEM 2.

Tell me about it. Ive taken everything to do with money out of Hem that I can yet I can still check my results on the sessions tab and in the graphs. They really should include something where you can take that out.

    A few more hands......

Basically a line check this one.

The limper is a classic 6/5 hence my limp behind to try and flop a monster. Villain is 6/0 over 63. When he bets the turn small Im thinking charge him to draw. This hand is one where my problems value betting turns comes from.

Villain here is 24/12 after 17.

This is similar to talked about above playing draws super aggressively. Is this ok because normally I would 3bet the flop thinking FD and Over card and theres less chance of him having a set because he might 3bet TT pre. The thing I hate about calling down is that my hand is face up when I hit, does that matter Im not so sure.

Made a couple of small spews in that session but noticed them and told myself to refocus which seemed to work.

K8dd is played fine, If you are routinely 3 betting that hand with Flush draw and overcard it's a leak. Your overcard is irelevant vs almost all his value flop raising range. There are more combos of sets than 2 pairs on that board, only 2 pair hand he can have is T8hh or T8cc and Your ahead of all his flush draws with your pair.

Yeah I think a lot of the time when I get raised there I would probably get it in and whinge that I ran in to the top of his range. I do worry that my hand looks face up when I hit though. Also I guess if he is bluffing then he checks behind that river some of the time as well and I will occasionally win at SD.

Ive been sat playing for ages not getting paid any time I hit the flop and slowly draining money away and just been getting more and more frustrated. I had one guy who called a small bet on a river where the only hand that beat him was quads. I mean how in the blue hell are you meant to get paid off.

Like in the hand above I look at it and I dont rep much but the villain dosnt see that, he insta called the river giving no thought to my hand at all. He beats a bluff in a spot where I shouldnt be bluffing. Only thing is dick wad here is the only person who is bluffing in this spot.

I worked out how you're meant to get paid off ¬_¬

Srsly though, if they're calling down your bluffs light they'll call down your value hands light, just ease off on the bluffing and wait until you have a hand that CAN destroy them. Otherwise you're just rewarding bad play.

Yeah its just been really frustrating again watching people fold time and time again when I get near a flop. It seems the only time Im getting called is when Im behind.

Its the thing I hate most about Zoom FR, I am sat there literally nut peddling to try and get value, cant make any moves post flop, and hoping to get coolered less than my opponents. Like my 3bet success rate is down at 20%, which is great if Im only 3betting AA/KK or could hit a flop when I had AK but its watch my 3bet get called, bet the flop with AA/KK watch them fold or bet with my other hands and watch them call and then fold the river when the standard bet comes on the river after the turn is checked through.

I think the moral of the story is ..to lose as little as possible when the cards are against you and make hay when things eventually turn around.

Everyone goes through periods where they are up against it all the time ... in these times its imperative you keep your focus and keep the damage to a bare minimum.

There are fine lines between someone that crushing > winning > break even > losing

haven't checked this thread in a while. wow you whine a lot. wow you butcher a lot of hands. I know this has been said many times and yes i know you are aware of it, but ill just say it 1 more time: you whine a lot and you play bad.

Also, that turn minraise in the last hand makes me rage.

enough negativity, GL if you decide to keep playing.

Only reason I bet the turn small was to stop myself check/calling at least that way the villain thinks he cant get my stack without raising when he has the nuts.

Take a long weekend off mate ..

Take the missus and kid out for lunch somewhere and apologize for being a little grumpy over recent days

Re-group ... deposit a few ££ and play the normal tables like you used to.

No need to drop down to $5nl where it means nothing to you as it will just de-motivate you and cause more grief than its worth...

Heck .. i have a bankroll of over $700 sitting there doing nothing ... ill stake you $400 for a %% of your winnings at the normal tables.

Thanks for the kind offer but I dont trust myself with my own money at the moment so Im not going to risk somebody elses but thank you.

Going to ban myself off here for a while as its obviously counter productive but I cant stop myself so if you or anyone else needs to get hold of me Im pretty easy to find through email, skype, or even Youtube I guess.

All the best to you all and everyone who has tried to help.
