I had a problem with Table Scanner crashing my HEM and the support e-mail reply had me update - which worked for a little while but began crashing again. I don't want to lose all hope that my money was spent on a HM App that will never work.

is something wrong with the equity %/$ev ?

I have 2 hands where I got AA vs AKo & AKs in pre and it says I have 71.9% and 68.2% equity..?

the ev $ values seem wrong due to this aswell

was using version 1.11.05d, upgraded to .05e and still have the problem

Why are my SNG results and EV for those tournaments exactly the same? Am I missing something?

For example if I bubble a SNG I should have some +EV but obv no winnings but the software says it is the same??

I copied all this down and wrote up a bug. I will test it later this week and forward it to programming if I can duplicate it easily. Yes, unfortunately you have to copy the tourney summary info to text file and import those files.

It seems to be working for most of the customers using our latest beta but some are still having issues. Most of the people with issues are either on XP or do not have their settings configured properly.

Please check these threads for details and if they dont help to solve your problems please post your details on our forums. Some of the other techs on the forums use the scanner regularly and have been dealing witht he scanner problems since the recent pokerstars updates. They will be able to help you better than I can.

There were quite a few EV bugs in .05d and the first .05e version we released shortly. They should be resolved in the .05e-1 that is released and our latest beta.

Please update to the latest version -

*Try creating a new UTF DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...elete+Database
*Now import a small portion of your \HMArchive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...6+Export+Hands
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and export/import any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.

Hello Fozzy,
Sometimes my HM starts not to import all the hands from the sessions I play and when that happens I purge some hands and the problem disappears. So, I assume that whenever my HM starts "missing" some hands it´s b/c I don´t have enough space for the DB. Is there any way I can see how much space do I have? And is there something I can do to get more space?

The more likely cause is a corrupt database. There is no limit to the size a database can be and we have many customers with 10's of million of hands and huge databases.

Make sure windows is fully updated and change your Windows Control Panel > Regional Settings Format to English (USA).

Make sure your poker client and hand histories are in english.

If you play a site like stars/ftp you can email their support and ask for all your old hand histories and tourney histories/results. HM archives all the original hands it auto-imports. Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere.

To verify the location: Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: ___________________

Hi, I just installed HEM on my secondary computer. Im running into trouble having HUD track hands on FT. The hud will pop up but wont track any hands. Ive tried changing the directory of my folders and still no success. Im using Windows 7. Has anyone else had this issue or have any insight on how to fix this?

So I have been trying for almost an entire 15 day trial to get HEM to work properly, and despite loading updates, opening firewalls, fixed permissions, reloading updates it just won't work does this program really work for some people? I've been using PT for years and if I ever had a problem it was fixed within hours. I think it is beginning to affect my game for the worse. And fozzy I've been communicating with someone on the HEM forum but apparently he is in the Netherlands, so no response for hours.

I've been recently playing the new Fifty50 sngs on Stars and they aren't importing properly under my results tab. For some reason some of then end as not finished and put me in 0 place out of 10. However whats weird is that I think its only the times I technically finish in 1st place. My 2nd-9th places I think track properly or close to it.

Any ideas why only my 1sts arent being tracked even though the sng ends when there are 5 people left?

Is the Table Manager open? If not, try launching \holdem manager\hmhud.exe manually.

Make sure the hand histories and poker client are in English. Set your Windows Regional and Language Settings to English (US). Restart your PC.


Try the table finder - http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questio...r+to+Show+HUD+

Make sure you follow the directions exactly.

Pick the table name in the table finder window to highlight it

If you don't see a table name listed, please drag the red X to the table and click OK. Open the Table Finder again and the list should be populated with the table name now, so you can select it.

Left-click and drag the red X to that table window

Click OK

I dont know what your forum name is on our forums so I cant review your thread there, but I did find some emails from you in our system. Have you tried to uninstall/replaced Norton 360 temporarily yet to see if that is causing the problems, like I suggested? That is most likely the cause of your registration problems and if you refuse to uninstall it we likely won't be able to register any code on your machine. That is one of many software security bundles that causes registration issues and other problems with our software.

Im mkmnyc on your forum, I am not going to uninstall Norton 360 that is what protects me from all the bad stuff out there on the internet and they provide insurance if anything ever happens.

But I went back and looked and one of the programs that I had set to allow had returned to auto in 360, so let me see what happens now.

Ok, fozzy here is the solution: a total of 6 files must be set to "allow" in the manage firewall\ firewall settings section of Norton 360.

Those are all mostly known files that need to be set as exceptions in any security software, but that often is not enough for Norton 360 users. I am glad it seems to be working for you so far.

If none of that helps, I would suggest a clean reinstall:

1) Make a backup of your C:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config folder, and any other important files.
2) Uninstall HM with www.revouninstaller.com using the Deep setting. You do not need to uninstall PostgreSQL.
3) If given the option, on the 2 following screens of Revo, remove any registry entries and leftover files.
4) Reboot your computer
5) Install the complete setup of HM: http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...ager_Setup.exe. You should un-check the PostgreSQL Option when running the combo installer.
6) Test if it for a while and see if it works

I must address this, on a personal level, as one computer user to another:

Norton is mediocre protection at best, IMO. It comes pre-bundled on many machines and people buy it because they dont bother looking for anything else. Good luck collecting on that 'insurance' if you get a bug.

I have not paid for anti-virus in 8+ years and have had no issues my free security couldn't deal with.

I am sorry for all of your problems but I am not surprised by the results. When I tell someone to uninstall and replace their anti-virus protection I do not do it lighthearted. It comes from seeing 1,000's of similar support posts/emails and doing 100's of remote support sessions with customers that have similar problems.

Reinstall Microsoft .NET Framework:

Restart your pc

disconnect from the internet when instructed and let the install finish

shut down your pc, connect your internet, and start your PC

Try opening HM again.

Well after two weeks of trying to get HEM to work, I'm giving up and going back to PT3, tech supports only solution to my issues seems to be uninstall Norton 360 which is not going to happen. I pay an annual subscription to Norton and also receive insurance from them should their defenses fail, and my PC is backed up daily to their site. The conspiracy theorist in me has to wonder if it is mining my data.

As interesting as the program looks I just don't understand why I have been able to run PT with Norton for years with no problems while looking at the threads the HEM issue with firewalls seems to have persisted for at least 2 years.

Well HEM if you ever get this fixed let me know, but for now I'm back to Poker Tracker.

and for Norton looking at the threads HEM seems to have more issues than my firewall.

thank you man but i play on PokerHeaven and I write to support and they answered to me that: "Please contact Holdem Manager Support. The Hand History should still be saved somewhere on your Holdem Manager folders"

I'm using win7, generic windows firewall (with exceptions for HMhud/HEM/etc.), avast! free anti virus, 1.11.06a internal.

I have created a new DB and reinstalled 1.11.06a internal more than once. At first it was showing some of the tables. Now after I reinstalled, I just get those blank stats. Please help, this is day 10 of crazy HEM/HUD issues.

Yes, it should be right where I told you it was.

Your \HMArchive is likely not in your \Holdem Manager directory. We normally suggest you use C:\HMArchive, but you may have put it anywhere.

To verify the location: Options > Configure Auto Import Folders > Edit > Archive Folder: ___________________

The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HMArchive\2009\07\31).

This is a known issue we are working on but were hopeful it was resolved with the latest .06a.

Please reproduce the problem and post a screen shot - http://graphicssoft.about.com/cs/gen...screenshot.htm

with the following:

1) The table manager
2) The tables (including one with no stats)
3) The ...handhistory\screenname folder.
4) The "\rvg software\holdem manager\importing\hud data" folder AND the '\hem data' folder. Please Zip these folders and email them, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to [email protected]

Please make 3 and 4 the detailed view with the dates and file sizes etc.
