hi

okay i will explain (when my HM2 dossent work my brain stops, i hate it )

1) Go to C:\Program Files\Holdem Manager 2 (Program Files (x86) for the 64bit version)
this i can do
2) Right click the HoldemManager.exe and choose "Properties".

in my computer it is called
HoldemManager.exe.config ( and this one when i right click i cant find this "Run this program as an Administrator" there )
but there is one called HoldemManager where i can right click and but i V under Run this program as an Administrator.

4) Repeat Steps 2 and 3 for HudFuncsApp.exe
i can only find HudFuncsApp and not .exe
but this one there is a V under "Run this program as an Administrator"

C:\Program Files (x86)\Holdem Manager 2\Speed.dll file
( this i cant find)

so i really dont know what to do?

if there is a way where a loose all my HH , just it is working this is fine for me . just as long as it is a no brainer click download now and is works

Hi fozzy !

Due to a W7 crash I had to reinstall HEM2 ; I successfully restored a back up of my DB I made, but since

Playing zoom on PS I can't get the HUD to show previous hands (from before my reinstall that is) ; Obv I already checked HUD filters and everything seems OK....

Any idea ?

Thanks a lot !

It was probably quarantined by your anti virus program. Did you receive an antivirus warning when updating? If this file is outdated or missing then the HUD wont work on speed poker tables.

Please install the update again manually and ignore any antivirus warnings as they are a false positive - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...r_2_Update.exe

That is an odd issue that I don't recall ever hearing reported. HUD Filters are set to '2 to 10' and Tournament Filters are set to '1 to 81+'?

1) Export any custom HUD configs.
2) Open the HM2 > HUD Options > Displayed Stats menu > Click 'Reset' > [x] All Configs > OK
3) Manually reset your HUD Options > Seating Preferences > for your site/seats

Try to reproduce the problem using the default HUD/settings. If it works properly you can try importing your customized HUD again.

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...rashing+Issues

If you continue to have problems, try the following -

*Try creating a new DataBase - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...m+Manager+2%3F
*Now import a small portion of your \HM2Archive so you can see if the problem exists in the new DB - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...Hand+Importing
All original hands that are auto-imported get moved to an archive for performance reasons. Your \HM2Archive is in C:\HM2Archive by default, but you may have put it anywhere. The archive should be organized by \Month\DayOfMonth (example: D:\HM2Archive\2009\07\31) or if it was auto-imported with 7283+ it would be in \HM2Archive\SiteName\YYYY\DD\MM.
*If the new DB seems to work properly, you will want to import the rest of your archives to the new DB, export/import the hands from the old DB to the new DB, and backup/restore any player notes and tourney summaries - and then delete the old DB.
*Make sure you export/backup everything before deleting the old DB - http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...r+%28Ribbon%29

Which antivirus? Avira? This seems to be the one having the most problems with this file.

Try reinstalling the software.

Uninstall your antivirus software first.

Please export your HUD's in HUD Options.
Please delete everything EXCEPT FOR DATABASE, NoteCaddyDefinitions, and CONFIG in
Win7: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HoldemManager\
XP: c:\documents and settings\username\application data\HoldemManager
Showing hidden files: http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...in+Windows%3F+
Uninstall HM2 and then Reinstall HM2 - http://www.holdemmanager.com/downloa...er_2_Setup.exe

Once you reinstall HM2 you can install your antivirus again.

hey guys,

using windows 7, just bought HEM2.

anyway every time i start HEM2 i get a popup telling me "desktop composition is disabled and can cause issues"

I go in, enable it and then for some reason the next time i run HEM2 the same exact thing happens. how/why does this "desktop composition" turn off by itself?

edit:

Went in and checked off "let windows decide whats best" and the "enable desktop comp" box is checked. however HEM2 still gives me pop up.

what shall i do?

Is there an option to update Hem2 when installed on a custom directory, under user folders?

During installation you get a prompt to choose the directory, but during update you get the following msg:
Hem 2 installation not found, please run full installer..

1) Make sure that aero theme is enabled. Without it enabled desktop composition wont work.

2) Try to use the checkbox to never show the warning again. There are no new issues if you don't use desktop composition. The warning is just there to let you know its not ideal to have it disabled.

If you installed to a custom path with the full installer the auto-update should be able to find the custom path.

Did you install the full program to the \Users folder instead of \Program Files or some other non \Users directory? Please give me some specifics as to where you initially installed the full program and I can do some testing to try and reproduce the problems you are experiencing.

Make sure windows is fully updated until 'No New Important Updates are Found' (this may require multiple restarts and multiple 'check for updates'), including Internet Explorer (even if you use a different web browser).

Start > Run > CMD > right-click > run as administrator

netsh winsock reset

This is usually a firewall or windows update issue.

Did all the above and still doenst work. Using Windows 7 and no firewal is active and the antivirues is uninstalled.

Ive recently had comp issues and a Microsoft tech had to change my OS from Vista to Windows 7.
I had to re-install HEM2 and postgres from scratch and I thought I had imported my HH's correctly.
When I open HEM2 its showing that over the last 8k hands im winning $85k on one name and some other ver skewed numbers on all the others (5 sn's total)

Ive checked the HH folders and everything seems to be in oreder on HEM2 but I don't know where all this bad info and stats came from.

Im doing a "quick-Vacuum all tables" right now but I doubt that will help anything

Configure your poker client preferred seating and seating preferences in HM accordingly.

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...ng+Preferences

1) Open one Table, play at least one hand.
2) Move the stats with the right mouse key to the correct positions.
3) Now you can open further tables but you will always have to play at least one hand for the stats to be moved to the correct positions.

The easiest way to align the HUD once it is set in the poker client is to click the 'Settings' HUD on the table and use the Arrow Buttons (<< >>) to rotate your HUD where it belongs and then click the 'Set Seat' button and choose 'OK' to agree.

Which site and which games? If it is tourneys you need to make sure you are also importing the tournament summaries.

Try creating a new database and importing the hands again. If you continue to have problems, please zip and email the problem hand histories, with a link to this thread and your forum name, to [email protected]

Any tournament with more than 1 table (and many single table games) will require a separate Tournament Summary/History file to be imported for HM2 to properly calculate the size, places, and prizes. If your site does not write summaries, or you experience any discrepancies with the results, you will need to manually edit the results via the Reports > Tournament > Tournaments > right-click > edit.

You may need to request and import any/all of your old tournament histories and import those to HM2. Stars did not write the tourney summaries to your hard drive in the past, like FTP did. They recently added this feature, so please enable the option in the PokerStars client to be sure that it is enabled in the Pokerstars options and be sure that HM2 has added the folder to your Auto Import Folder Configuration.

http://hm2faq.holdemmanager.com/ques...er+Stars+Setup

Email [email protected] and ask for ALL your old Hand Histories and Tournament Histories/Summaries.

They will send you an email with links to zip files of your hand histories. Download all the zip files. Right-Click > Extract the contents of each zip file to a new folder. HM > Import From Folder for all of the unzipped hands.

The tournament summaries should be attached to the email as .htm files. Download the attachments. HM > Import File(s) for all of those files. If the files are sent as .html you will need to rename them (Right-Click > Rename) from .html to .htm extensions.

The old hands should be in your \HM2Archive folder. As I know your recent problems you should check in the \Windows.old folder for the hands from before your OS upgrade. If you have the same problems in a new database send us the hands via email for testing. Were you running out of free space? That is something I would never delete. I would move it to an external drive before I considered deleting it. You can't get those old hands via email from most non-US sites so unless you have them backed up somewhere they are gone for good. You haven't had very good luck with your remote support techs IMO. I would never delete any customer files in a remote support session without their permission.

I can't tell you why the numbers are so far off what you expect until you send us the hands you did find/import for us to test.
