The reason I put it in quotes is that "legends" get watched no matter what they do. In this case, no one was snowed. Agree they are actually sitcom legends with bad need of paychecks.
WGN has totally botched the handling of that show. It's not even a blip on anyone's radar. I heard last week's episode got a .05, you know like lower than a 0.1 and something like 330k viewers. They don't replay any of the episodes during the week, don't have On Demand, don't have full episodes on their website, and replay the same episode 4 times in a row vs. previous episodes for people who might get into it late. I can evidently see the first episode for free on Amazon, but will probably have to pay for the second. I set a recording for episode 3, but no matter how good it is, it's an absolute disaster on the ratings front. On their website it says, "New Time, Sundays 10/9c", what was it before? Moving it right into The Strain and The Leftovers is just comically bad positioning.
Oh, and for DC, those two comedy "legends" managed to grab a .04 in the 18-49 demo. That's well below the typical line for renewal on FX, though The Americans' renewal at around a 0.4 makes anything possible.
The only reason I even noticed it was browsing one of those probably not so legal streaming sites and clicked it for some reason.
hahaha, I first saw ads when I was looking something up on imdb. But, it didn't look interesting from those. Then, it got fairly decent reviews here so I was waiting for the second episode to make a decision to watch it, and now...I can't...easily.
Follows a deep-cover operative named Martin Odum, who has an uncanny ability to transform himself into a different person for each job. But his own identity comes into question when a mysterious stranger suggests that Martin isn't who he thinks he is.
Sounds good enough to give a try assuming I remember when I get home from my holiday. I hope it is good, it could easily go either way given the descriptions I have read.
So Legends is about Sean Bean's character being really good at going undercover? Sounds cool but I'm not going to have high expectations for a TNT show.
anyone watching Last Comic Standing? it's another one of those "DVR" shows for me where you can bang out an episode in 15 minutes. The Final 3 are awful, imo. I really liked Joe Machi, don't understand the judge's thinking. I'm continued to be baffled by the Rod Man love. Dude mush mouths for 30 seconds, repeats words 100 times, then emphasizes a word at the end and i think it fools confused people into laughing.

whatever your expectations are, you should probably lower them. like it's a solid step below even standard tv action/drama bad.
Garfunkel and Oates had a really strong first episode imo. I loled a few times and they are doing a decent job of building a show around their songs and personalities, which was always going to be hard.
It's not close to touching broad city which was amazing and draws obvious comparisons but it's a keeper imo.
G&O was better then I thought it would be. I knew I'd be watching anyway, but was glad it was actually good. The guests might've been a big part of that.

Definitely, being able to call your friends who happen to be some of the best comedians working right now is a huge positive for the show.

Somehow, episode 3 was also released, and I thought it had a few funny bits.
G+O is more "strange things happen to normal girls", rather than Broad Street's "normal things happen to whacked out girls".
I did notice it was out there but didnt watch the third ep. I figure even if it has no linear narrative there was no point rushing out and viewing it given I will be watching anyway.
