Anyway, I'm done with it. Production values were pretty good, squandered opportunity imo.

Anyone watched Gomorrah? Italian drama with sub titles on sky Atlantic.

Just watched the 1st I have recorded and i was pretty impressed. Looks well made and the acting was decent.

Think the wire meets sopranos. If it get half as good as either it will be a solid watch.

just watched the first episode of outlander. i liked it overall. the first 40 minutes dragged a bit, but once she finally traveled back in time it was good. the lead actress is good. i'm looking forward to the next episode.

I've watched the first 3 episodes of Honourable Woman. It being from the BBC, I had girded my loins for it being anti-Israel, and it does appear to be heading that way. But I'm gonna keep watching so I must like it a little.

Maggie Gyllenhaal has a fascinating look about her. Her body and the way she moves is kinda sexy, but her face is totally busted, at least with that short haircut.

I have indeed, and she was obv very sexy there, but she was much younger and had longer hair. She just has an unusual look about her, let's face it.

Decided to finally give Battlestar Galatica a try after sooooo many people recommended it. I'm 10 episodes into the first season and I really don't see what the fuss is all about. Seems like typical low-budget cheesy Sci-Fi TV. Does this get better? FWIW, I like shows like TNG and Dr Who, etc.

Really annoying nitpick: At the start of every episode they do a little "Humans created Cylons...blah" And the last sentence is "And They Have A Plan."

Ok that' great but I'm 10 episodes in and still don't know what the plan is. Stop telling me they have a plan if you're never going to explain the plan with only 3 episodes to go in the first season.

I just want to say that the new Kelsey Grammer show "Partners" is the worst that I have seen in awhile.

Don't know how you watch ten episodes of a show you don't like.

if you don't like BSG after the first 10 episodes i would give up. the first 10 episodes are about as good as the show gets. it PROBABLY gets a little better, but it's debatable.

i'm 3 minutes into honourable woman. that opening was fantastic!

I wouldn't say I don't like. It's pretty meh though.

It's a case of "If this many people have recommended it then it must get better, right?" line of thinking. Some shows don't really hit their stride until the 2nd season anyway.

The plan wasn't revealed until after the series concluded. And it was good that way.

I dunno how you can like DW and call BSG low budget.

Anyway, if you are not bought into it after the mini series special and the first episode of the series you will never buy into it.

It does really rev up in the 2nd half of season 2 and early season 3, but I wouldn't be hanging around till then if I weren't feeling it.

I completely bailed on season 4 btw, no regrets.

I went through all of BSG recently on Netflix in a week or so. I enjoyed it but, I agree, if you aren't buying in to it by now then you probably aren't going to appreciate where it's headed.

I've watched all of the Stargate series though and went into BSG wanting to finish it regardless.

Edit: If you skipped Season 4, did you at least find out how it ended? I wasn't a massive fan.

like kioshk i bailed in season 4 too, and i never saw the ending that everyone bitched about.

i never understand people who complain about a show going on too long. if it gets bad, just stop watching it. isn't better to have a choice rather than a show just ending? if BSG had ended after season 3 people would have bitched up a storm about how it ended too soon

Yeah i kind of want to punch like the last 10 or so posters above ntanygd760.

BSG is some of the best television ever produced and is only let down by a mediocre final arc. I can't fathom being a sci-fi fan and not being enthralled.
