Apparently leaving Netflix June 1 is Midnight Diner (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midnig...nese_TV_series))
Super mellow Japanese comedy/drama/slice of life. Under titles. 50 Appx 20 minute episodes. 1st 3 seasons are Midnight Diner. 4/5 are Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories

Not a great 4+ episode binge show. 1 or 2 episodes before bed is super chill.

Oh yeah, and the occasional boobie

Season 2 of Yellowjackets is......okay I guess? Some aspects I like a lot, others I dislike just as much, and the rest don't push me in either direction. So yeah, not the best viewing experience; but I'll probably stick it out for at least the rest of this season.

It’s a case of Showtime Showtime’ing. Episodes often start well and the end of the episode should’ve been the next thing to happen but instead it’s all filler in between. That said, it does have some of the creepiest and most disturbing moments I’ve seen in anything recently.

Wonder where the imdb ratings from Barry are coming from this season. Super high scores. Bots?

I'm still enjoying Love & Death on HBO. Show borders on campy, but Elisabeth Olsen is mesmerizing in this imo. Legit one of the best performances I've seen. She's probably a little better than the show as a whole tbh. Her portrayal of a cheating housewife is the main reason to watch.

she's really good in that film about joining a cult and then leaving, forget actual name of film, it's like the name of 3 broads in a row or something

mary, magadelne & kate or something

Damn we finished the Diplomat (Netflix) in 3 days. BINGE city.

Cast was strong and largely actors I did not know much about (beyond the obvious). Hal is the goat.

Patricia Arquette in High Desert, pretty good after 3 episodes. I'm not so sure it's a good show but her character is pretty entertaining.

Ghosts of Beirut on Showtime, first episode is out. So far, pretty good.

Also ploughed through the diplomat very quickly. It was terrible but easy it watch. With an insanely abrupt ending.

I echo your thoughts on the High Desert. Charismatic zaniness is a very hard tone to pull off but she is great in this.

A fantastic film about a cult. Highly recommend.

100 foot wave has been excellent again in season 2.

A Small Light on Hulu was a 10/10. It’s the best show no one is watching.

Yeah, that was probably the best episode since season 1. I’m guessing the finale is at the same level next week.

I got bored a couple of episodes into season 2. Can I just skip ahead (or read wikipedia) to the end of season 3?

Why? If you don't like it, stop watching it. There's no such thing as being "plot committed." Shows aren't about "what happens," they are about how they get there. Good shows, at least.

Just stop watching things you don't like.

Especially true in Ted Lasso, where the on-field success of the protagonists is very, very little of the point of the show. It's all about the character arcs; you either like them or you don't. I wouldn't know what to tell a person to skip past...except for the Beard After Hours one. **** that episode.

It's turned into an hour long dramedy which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The issue is that a lot of the episodes could be edited to 55+ minutes with absolutely no mention of the football club.
