A pretty big mess so far of what is a half way decent plot

I enjoyed The 100 so far. Kind of like Terra nova meets Avatar and not as sucky as Revolution.

I thought it was watchable. Good concept, pretty meh acting and execution in the pilot, but with lots of potential to kick it up into a higher gear.

Had to delete Mind Games from my DVR, the Steve Zhan drove me nuts and it was so off putting I couldn't get into the rest of the show.

It's on my DVR, it's getting canceled, but not even worth checking out, right?

I have it saved at all. Let me know if I shouldn't even start it.

I've seen many new series pop up, but don't know which ones I really should check out. Anyone has a fav list so far?

It looks like a crossing between lost and dawson's creek, if they drop the dawson's creek part where teenage lovers are unwatchable, the show can be interesting

its like a mix between that one sucky thing and another sucky thing but not quite as sucky as that other suckfest. In conclusion... Im in til the bitter end.

Feels like the are taking a lot from Lord of the Flies, at least in how much I remember from reading it 15 years ago.

If any of you speak French (or can find subbed versions), season 1 of Braquo is awesome. Season 1 and 2 of 19-2 (filmed in Montreal) might be one of the 5 best cop shows I've ever seen. No idea if the English remake measures up.

^Will go on my to-watch list. BTW speaking of cop shows: Southland any good? Been contemplating for a while whether to check it out. How would it compare to The Wire for example?

Man I can't decide how much I like Helix, it for sure isn't bad though.

I really liked Southland.
Followed it religiously through all it's various time and channel changes.

Michael Cudlitz character especially was A+

The best thing about Cosmos is Monday morning when you get to read about all the creationists losing their ****. Ken Ham and other creationists are currently protesting Fox demanding equal air time on Cosmos in order to provide "balance". The fact that it's their darling Fox airing the show must drive them extra nuts.

deGrass Tyson is having none of it though, “You don’t talk about the spherical Earth with NASA, and then say let’s give equal time to the flat Earthers,” Tyson told CNN. “Plus, science is not there for you to cherry pick.”"

Googling "cosmos" and "creationists" brings up all kinds of fun stuff.

Its entirely not what I expected. If it is renewed for another season I may actually give the first season a rewatch, which is pretty rare for me.

I am liking Crisis after 2 episodes so far

Did Blacklist have a thread in here? I thought it started out sort of terrible, then the middle of the season was "ok", but the last 3-4 episodes of the season are almost great. Curious to see where they take it.

Still plodding along with Helix too. I don't see how they're going to give it any sort of meaningful conclusion this season so I'd like to see it renewed.

The 100 pilot is already in Netflix. Cool. I liked it.

My wife wanted to watch it. Not nearly as bad as Star-Crossed but basically everyone on the show (adults and children) is a complete ******.

I guess they lost the technology behind Geiger counters? No portable communications devices that don't rely on the shuttle?

And apparently background radiation only has two states: completely harmless or quickly fatal. No worries about everyone getting cancer in 5 or 10 years...

And sending a bunch of juvenile delinquents out unsupervised is ever going to end well? Either they're going to kill themselves with in-fighting or just being idiots (which does what for your survivability data?). Or they're going to band together, establish an independent and antagonistic foothold that's going to need to be reconquered later. (I realize part of the motive is to reduce the resource drain on the station but it's such a poorly devised plan all around).

The guy who got spaced for wanting to warn everyone (let's call him Jor-El). How does that make any sense? The wife blames the treacherous second in command guy. But then then head guy who was shot pardons her at the last moment. What now? Why didn't he pardon the father? Or at least prevent the execution? How is it not his fault?

What is Cosmos about? I'm interested because of the praise it's getting, but don't know if I really give a crap
