I really liked s1 but found it a bit much early in s2. Glad to hear it finishes strong.

Honestly I have no idea what the audience for the show is meant to be. Its not really sci fi, its too unwilling to hand-hold the audience for mass appeal but its not smart enough to really justify its attempted cult niche.

Its very much absurdist fiction. I kinda like it in a weird way, its definitely improving over time, but its still not something I would rush to recommend. Like it seems you dont watch a huge amount of TV so there has to be something better out there to get into for you.
Thanks. Well three new single word shows started up last week and I think tomorrow I'm going to give each of them a shot.

Resurrection
Believe
Cosmos

I'll for sure watch this entire new season of Cosmos, dunno about the others yet. The previews seemed interesting at least but then again they almost always do for these new "big shows" for the major networks.

Also I just saw the other replies and I'll be checking out continuum as well, premise sounds cool.

Edit2: actually resurrection seems kinda dumb I'm going to hold off on that one.

I think Continuum is an excellent TV show, can't think of many recent sci-fi shows that are better. Fringe but not much else.

Has anyone watched Web Therapy? I'd not heard of it until someone mentioned it in the Lounge TV thread. It seems to have decent reviews and lots of good guest stars.

I watched several episodes of it a few years ago, but never had time to catch up. It's pretty good, with an interesting format. Basic premise is that she's a psychiatrist who does very short sessions over the internet.

Anyone watching Andy Daly's Review on Comedy Central? Fun premise and a great role for him, as a friendly guy who reviews "life itself." 2 eps so far, in the first he reviewed addiction, senior prom, stealing.

Daly's been great on podcasts lately too, both as a guest on Comedy Bang Bang, and his own new podcast where each ep is a pilot for one of his characters.

Haven't watched the 2nd one yet, but I loved the first one. Love the absurdity.

You seriously doubted that we are blowing massive amounts of cash in Afghanistan? Stop watching the main stream media so much, it has been known for years that we literally fly pallets of hundred dollar bills and give them to the Afghanis/Iraqis.

They are literally countless pointless projects spread all over both war zones. It turns out if you give billions of dollars in reconstruction money with no oversight, government contractors will promptly waste it.

Truth.

I hope the show does well, he really should be a bigger name than he currently is. If that means less Podcast appearances so be it.

I just saw Netflix has Rectify now. I wasn't wild about it when I tried it at first, but I'm gonna try it again.

It's one of those polarizing shows. I don't think it's terrible if you can't get into it. It's slow for some people. I'm pretty sure it has it's own thread. I think right now it's the best show on TV.

Rectify is fantastic but I can certainly understand someone not getting in it - The pacing is slow burn and the protagonist is not very likeable. It's got an "independent film" feel to it.

I think it rewards you greatly if you stick with it. The last ep was the best of the bunch iyam.

Yeah, in arc and protagonist development, the show really hasn't even gotten started yet. As CMAR says, it has a very indie film feel. I generally love the way it's shot, and it's a very well done show technically for the most part. If you don't like it after the first episode, you really won't ever like it, since that's the feel of the entire show. For most people, watching 5 episodes of something they consider boring (even if all 5 episodes are important to the story) to get to a nice reveal is not typically worth it.
