That's based on a great book too, David McCullough's bio of Adams. A historian you can actually read and enjoy. HBO should do his Truman bio next.

I saw the last 5 minutes of this weeks Turn while waiting for the Mad Men rerun.. It had a scene with a guy leaving somewhere on a rowboat and featured the worst/most obvious green screen I've seen on a serious cable drama. Anyone else know the scene I'm talking about? Did the rest of it have such bad special effects (or whatever they were doing there)?

Had been watching Turn, and pretty much enjoying it until last weeks episode. It took a decided, uh, turn for the worse.

It definitely sounds interesting. If it were on pretty much any other channel I'd be very sceptical.

The trailer did nothing for me, and if a trailer for a show like that doesn't have great impact, it generally means the show doesn't have any impact. That doesn't mean I won't follow the thread to see if people like it.

I can't tell if it's extremely vague fast cuts because they don't want to travel too much awesome or too much terrible. Not a good trailer but I'll give it a shot if I remember.
