FYP

Jesse has consistently shown that he's really bad at being bad. So far the only thing he's really had the stomach for was trading meth for gas and petty theft. Walts the real bad guy.

Like I posted earlier, I'm not sure if Gus intended for the dealers to kill Tomas, but he was going to have to go as soon as Gus said "no more children". As if you can just cut loose a blabbermouth who's killed.

if you are referring to the Wire, it's been out 7 years, go watch it

I have my reasons as to why I haven't finished it yet.

Yeah. It must be hard to find the time while running a drug empire and a fast food chain at the same time

yeah i feel that way about shows like Lost. i'll probably watch it start to finish one day, but have no immediate plans to do so. but until then i don't want it spoiled, lol. but c'mon, The Wire has been off the air for how long now? doesn't really seem reasonable to have spoiler rules enforced, especially ones that aren't terribly relevant to major plot points (like the ones that were discussed, i mean it's not like someone told you that Bubs killed McNulty or something).

as for BB, anyone have any questions for Vince Gilligan?

He was destined to grow up to be a pos thug, and would probably end up killing more people.

Well these are two different people. One is her son, who is innocent and Jesse cares for. The other (Tomas) is her brother, and he is already too far gone in the game and a cold blooded murderer. Perhaps Jesse doesn't feel anger towards Tomas because he realizes that the kid has been manipulated, but I don't see how he would really care what became of the kid. The kid would have no problems murdering Jesse if he were told to do so.

Well, I have no idea if there were major plot points discussed or not, that's par of the thing. I have seen S1 of The Wire, but I promised the gf I'd wait for her before I watched the rest. It's not like I'm lacking in things to do the rest of the day, anyway.*

I'm not sure what was more ruthless.. Walt running the guys over (I was like DAAAAAAAYUM!!!) or Walt cappin that guy when he got out of his killer mobile (for which I was like DAAAAAAAAAAAAAYUUMM!!!!!!!!). They were both pretty shocking (and sweet at the same time).

He obviously loves Jesse like a son.

episode can be summed up in one word

badass

Seriously you can talk about any show ITT but please don't talk about The Wire. I am just now getting around to watching in (only 3 eps in) and don't want to spoil stuff. I haven't had any context for the other spoilers that I glanced over ITT so no harm do so far.

This thread is a must read for me and I really don't want to ruin my enjoyment of The Wire

Walt takes care of business, making that the 47th murder or so that Jesse has been on the periphery of, and the look of shock, terror, horror is kind of funny. Jesse thinks he is a murderer and he isn't. Walt thinks he isn't, and is.
Great post.

Sorry about The Wire stuff. What I talked about has next to zero bearing on anything so didn't think it would matter, will use spoilers next time haha.

lets not forget he had just done a huge line of top notch meth after being sober for a few months. he was tripping the **** out for many reasons.

So I just finished catching up with this show, again it´s awesome. Haven´t read any part of the thread but if I find some time I may read it all. Sooo, thoughts:

wow, who knew? malcolm´s dad can act

the fly episode was weird

jesse´s dead girl probably has a unibrow which needs grooming constantly in real life

both sisters are bitches and should die in a grease fire

Overall: solid acting, solid directing, solid cinematography, a slow tense pace, a kinda solid argument, great great show

freakin, there are over 100 characters in the Wire, us talking about a few random things that happened in a random episode; you won't remember their names or what happened. there haven't been any huge Wire spoilers itt that i have seen.
06-09-2010 , 11:22 PM
Indeed
06-09-2010 , 11:40 PM
i wonder if jesse will do drugs again from now on

They're both bad guys. I think the point of that scene from the 1st ep, was that Jesse (through rehab) had embraced his inner bad guy. While Walt (through rationalization) spent the episode in denial about his inner bad guy and his role in the plane crash.
