Because the SAG people were all pissed that Cranston kept winning, so they asked them to delay so someone else would get a chance. Then Cranston will win the last 2-3 seasons of this show, and they'll go back to normal after that.

July 17th is the scheduled date.

He should just take himself out of the race like John Larroquette did when he kept winning with Nightcourt.

Sorry if that's a stupid question, but what is SAG and who are the SAG people?

Screen Actor's Guild

and the story about them asking to postpone breaking bad is true?
lol
hilarious if thats true

Highly doubtful
04-23-2011 , 08:18 PM
Of course it's not true. I'm shocked anyone would think so.
04-23-2011 , 08:22 PM

Still, doubt Jon Hamm is complaining.

Why? Hamm's show got pushed back too. Doesn't premiere until Jan 2012, same Emmy season as Breaking Bad, I think.

Hahaha, poor guy.

Emmy window is June-May so he'll be eligible for season 4 this year and season 5 next year.

Buscemi won the SAG and Golden Globe so he may be the favorite this year.

Just got done with all 3 seasons in about 2 weeks and wow, ****ing amazing. Am I the only one who thinks Saul(Bob Odenkirk) might be the coolest tv character of all time?

Since we had to wait extra long for Season 4 to start they should really throw the viewers a bone and get all the big cliff hangers out of the way right off the top.

Starting with if Walt Jr. passed his driving test or not.

I remember hearing the reason behind the later date for S4: The writers felt like they needed more time to make the next season. I'm pretty sure this implied they did not expect S3 to be as awesome as it is and are scared of not being to live up to it in S4, so they took extra time to be sure it did. We can only hope they succeed. I'm not saying Dexter comes close to BB, but I can't take another awesome show dropping to utter crap after its best season.

I really like him. Top 5 or 10 for me. He's up there with some big names, like Chris Moltisanti, Agent Dale Cooper, Vern Schillinger...

What I love most about BB is the sometimes almost Pynchon-esque characters and zaniness mixed in with a serious story.

Bob Odenkirk is so great. Porno Gil FTW.

walt: "what does the blowfish do?"

jesse: "... i don't even know..."

walt: "the blowfish puffs up, okay"

and at the end,

jesse: "blowfishin this up" as he's about to take a bong rip

amazing

I think BB has the most characters who could theoretically be the lead on their own show (aside from the obvious Walt and Jesse):

Saul
Gus
Mike
Young Don Salamanca

I'd watch all of those.

Hank, too. He could be sort of a Vic Mackey type in a more comedic version of The Shield.

a whole slew of BB recent links from AMC:

man that video with gilligan is pretty damn good in link above

Season 4 is going to be even darker than season 3? Jesus, what are they getting into Requiem For a Dream territory?
05-16-2011 , 10:03 PM
I mean, it pretty much has to get darker, right? It either gets darker, or he dies. It's not like they can tidily wrap things up and have Walt get back to a normal life.
