fyi this week is the last week for the 3 free add/drops.

also question for karak: do teams get $4 back when they drop someone, or when they drop+buy someone? i.e. if i cut a guy and promote from my minors instead of signing a new guy - do i get the $4 back still?

karak again clarify, do you get the $4 back just for releasing a player? or do you need to replace them to get it?

i.e. if you drop players now, but replace them with minor leaguers do you get $4 back? or if you drop them now to replcae them in a month does it count towards the 4 season drops, or still in the two week window?

you get the $$ back for dropping him

so they would count against THIS period

however you need to have 30 players on your active roster (which includes the DL)

Exit, Carmona should be $5 on your tracking sheet. I had corrected that on my actual roster a while ago, since my actual bid on him had been $5, even though he was added manually for $4.

FYI

the way we have rosters/DL's set up, i can't figure a way for CBS to enforce roster limits of 30 players on the active roster.

So please when you add players from Free Agency, move players up from minor leagues, or move players off of the DL - make sure you have max of 30 active players.

what's awkward is you have no idea if you will win a free agent or not

so i really dont know how to fix that... like with my add/drops this week i had to add a bunch of Fas to fill it out, but i failed some of the auctions and didn't add them. we did say we'd have a bit of a grace period, but my roster currently fails to pass inspection.

you know you can make conditional releases right? to only release if you win the player.

and you can make multiple FA claims that would release the same player - and order them, so the one with priority goes through and voids the next.

also yours doesnt fail. 22 active 5 reserve 3 on DL = 30. you dont need 30 from active and reserve.

I had two free roster spots. I put in three FA bids to fill those two spots. I fugured CBS wouldn't let me go over the roster limit and not let me sign the third player if I won the first two bids, my assumption proved incorrect. I released the third player within 20 minutes of signing him to keep my roster legal - can I have this drop not count against my free drop limit, since it was just me fixing something I figured CBS would do automatically (that is, I was never expecting to get him in the first place if I won the first two bids)?

So I guess that means my roster fails to? I thought your DL didnt count against your "active". So I have 22 Active, 8 Res, and 1DL....Fail?

no your roster is fine Coff.

Max = (Active + Reserve) = 30
Min = (Active + Reserve + Injured) = 30
