He probably does it for ad revenue purposes only. YouTube likes to have an ad for every 10 minutes of content so he can get in that 2nd ad for 20 minutes. The vlog wasn't really that interesting so I don't think 20 minutes was warranted either. The fella should buy a drone like Andrew if he's not going to buy any furniture.

What's hilarious about it? Calling $15 to hit and win $200+?

It did play out to very nice implied odds.

Just put out Episode 2, I think it's significantly better than my last but I'm sure there's a lot I could improve upon. I added in a few of the suggestions that were mentioned. Is there anything else that could be better?

I'd love to add more anecdotal stories and such but unfortunately since moving out of vegas and becoming a father things have become way more humdrum. I was thinking of adding in some old stories but that seems like an attempt at reliving the "good ol days".

One thing I've realized is just how much work this all is. I can only imagine how much time Andrew Neeme puts in.

id prefer less hands and going more in depth on each one. 3 or even 2 interesting hands is plenty for one video as long as you expand on your thought process.

Ya I think that's a really good point. It does get a bit boring when there's so many hands one after another without a break between them. I actually cut out a lot of hands already but for the next one perhaps 3 or 4 big hands will be best. Thanks!

I don't see what's hilarious about it either. $15 was a small bet there.

Hes not getting odds to call and can't know he has heavy implied +doesn't really have any rivers he can turn into bluffs but there's worse/more expensive spots someone can gambolz on so it's not like this is super bad/uncommon. Did he close action calling turn or was there a player left to act?

It was stated that he was in position.

Yeah, it's probably not likely you will ever have heavy implied odds on a $15 bet against most standard 1/2 players but there was a little something there, including hitting his card, to make the $15 call fine.

Ya like I said it's meh pretty marginal certainly not notably bad/spew. If it didn't close action I really don't like it though.

Based on what was posted I think it did close action (he was in position). I pretty much feel the way you do on this one and it certainly wasn't a big ha ha.

I'm happy for his result.

Same, I like da' troopa vlogs for the most part so him winning hypothetically increases the likelihood of continued content (and less mail/story times)

I have to disagree. I don't feel that it was a good call.

First, it's an A high-rainbow board so it is unlikely he will be able to bluff successfully on the river. With two other players in the pot, it's likely that at least one of them has top pair. That board hits preflop calling ranges pretty well.. (might not be a strong A but still) Most $1/2 players won't fold top pair there... That means he is trying to catch the 10. Four outs means he is about 8% favorite to win the hand. Out of 100 times that he calls $15 he will lose 92 times... Only 8 times he'll have the nuts and win. Clearly immediate odds aren't there, the biggest problem is the implied odds. Will they pay him off every time he hits his 10? Probably not... Remember flop was checked around... If/when they call a river bet, for how much?

The biggest issue is even if we assume that the villain will pay him on the river, how much does he/she even have in front of him/her? I didn't see the first player's stack but the second one seemed to not even have $150 when he called trooper's raise.

I think it's an easy fold on the turn...

1. its a big 'FU' to the poker rooms for not letting him film. he's basically saying, 'ok, you don't want free advertising for your room to my tens of thousands of fans who religiously watch my vlog every day? fine, i then i don't need your business either.'

2. trooper's biggest problem, and the reason he has gone broke in the past, is that he hasn't put in enough hands at the table. playing online will help in a couple of different ways: a) he will get in more hands in less time. trooper has already proven that as long as his busy schedule doesnt stop him from getting to the table, that he can earn a very respectable salary from playing poker. this wont be as much of a problem online, where he can still get in 2k+ hands a day despite his busy schedule if he focuses on heads up. b) he will probably save 4-5 hours of his day from not having to drive to the casino, park, walk, and get distracted by everything going on around the strip. that is 4-5 more hours a day that he will be able to grind poker.
This made me laugh... You're probably one of those people that think starbucks should have sponsored trooper already. Give him a million bucks a vlog.

In a lot of troopers videos he is LOSING money. Not now, but when he was he had people saying he should stop gambling. Not a good look for the poker room imo. Most of trooper fans don't even play poker in Vegas. Most of them watch because they want to see the strip and downtown.

Andrew has more poker followers in 2 months. People care more about Andrew poker content than Troopers poker content. Trooper vlog is more about food, walking around the strip and having dry humor. Funny thing is he is complaining, and cussing about everything he does on the strip. Trooper imo makes things look more negative than positive. Not the guy I want to be face of my poker room.

This upload was better and had more flow. Breaking down the hands and more thought process would be cool. A lot of people don't play Omaha, so talking more about your thought process in the vlog would help educate the viewers.

Hey put Omaha in da' title I would have snap watched already...unless you only play Omaha then I could see how it could get redundant. But as mentioned there's a general lack of Omaha content imo so will def be watching.

I get it. I don't watch trooper much anymore, because the vlog is more about the sideshow than it is poker. The debates keep troopers vlog interesting. I find a lot of his fans seem to troll now. The thread hasn't been bashing trooper much, but his fans will come in here and say the most homer stuff.

I think it's time Troop and Andy sit down and discuss how they can work together. It'd not coincidence that since all these new vloggers started troop has had huge hit in subscribers.... there's a reason all these youtube pranksters do stuff together to promote each others vlogs
