41-39-80. 1 birdie, 1 double bogey. Could have done without the three 3 putts early, but was really pleased to finish strong. Felt like I may have figured a couple things out with the swing, sure hope so.

42-69 for a 111 today. Finished my 1st tallboy on the 4th tee. Came to the 7th hole +1 with 90 yards in and only second tallboy but made 6. Finished my 3rd and 4th by the 8th tee and then 6 thru 9. Had 14 tallboys in all. It got rough. Played for 3 rounds on backside. Made par birdie and bogey to win all 3 (driver gap wedge then 4 putt for a 6 on the short par 5 for the last round). Casual 33 over on the other 6 holes.

44-38-82. 1 birdie, 3 double bogeys on the front. Not real warm and very windy -- which had some benefits, I hit a driver- 9 iron into a "par 5" (tees way up, more like 430 yds). Really, really happy with how I hit the driver. Doing a better job of clearing and getting to my left side.

(-1) 71 for the first sub-par round of the year. 4 birdies, 3 bogeys just never got into a bunch of trouble and made a couple putts. After a couple rounds in the 80's and a fun 93 in the last week, this was a welcome sight.

atlanta dodged it today, rest of the week looks bleak

Went out to the range yesterday, and just about everything that went wrong could have. Was hitting it solid on my initial warm-up routine until I pulled out a 6-iron and started shanking the ball. I literally could not get my swing fixed, which was made worse by the fact that there were some potentially attractive chicks hitting balls right next to me. I gathered that they played for a local college, and one girl seemed to hit beautiful shot after beautiful shot while I stood there unable to make any contact whatsoever, literally five feet away. Couldn't even muster up the courage to say anything because of the immense shame my swing made me feel at that moment.

I eventually decided that I would head over the putting green, got in some good practice, and went back to the range for round two. Ended up to be more of the same, so I spent a total of two hours topping, slicing, and shanking the ball all over the range to where I thought about quitting the game forever.

Finally realizing that it might be a good idea to walk five holes to try and get something, ANYTHING, figured out, I teed off of the par-5 first, easily hit the green in two, made birdie and was on my way. Ended up making three birdies in my first five holes en route to a 35 (-1) on the front nine, the first time I've broken par on that side from any tees.

Golf is fun.

83 on Saturday. I was 8 over and having a horrendous front when I birdied 10 and 12 to go -2 back nine. I gave a few strokes back along the way, but was pretty happy with the round overall. Although not all of my game is sharp right now, I am an absolute ball driving machine.

I haven't shot anything recently because I've been too afraid to go out on the course. Since I took up playing again (5-6 years ago) I've had a jury rigged grip and swing, with a REALLY strong grip. I made adjustments to make it work, but knew I'd have to change if I was going to keep improving. This winter I started pretty much brand spankin' new. It was ugly. Really ugly. Felt like I'd never played before. Kept at it, though, and (knocking on wood) I think it's come together. I've put in a solid five straight range sessions where the ball does what I want it to, and I'm pretty happy with it. Hopefully translates to the course, because I signed up for a tournament on Saturday.

33 (+4); 0% on putts outside 3 feet. Whee!

48-46 today. 3 putted a bunch of times today, left a lot of strokes out there with my short game, but felt pretty good all in all.

Game was a disaster for a lot of the front 9. Started off the back bogie, double, then played the last 7 in at +1. Actually had 2 birdies on the day, which is kind of a rarity for me. Overall a pretty decent round considering how I started and the fact that I hadn't played in a week.

Shot 101. Failed to break 100 for the first time in a few years. Sucked. Back at it tomorrow :-/

41 but did birdie hardest hole on the course to take all the skins. long par 4, creek on the left trees on the right. hit a nice low heater down the middle and pounded a six-iron into the wind to the back pin from 162. made the 5 footer after partner tromped on my line with his size 13s.

First round in six months, 87. Don't like the final score, but was pleased with the round. Back nine 43 was a bogey, three doubles, and five pars.

42-43-85. 3 birdies, 4 double bogeys and a triple. Feast or famine ... Need to get that swing sorted out.

Only got out for 9, and i started poorly but had a great middle spell. (21.6 hcp).

1. 6 - Double bogey. Great tee shot to 150 yards out. Had a rare iron miss hit. Had to chunk it out into the bunker. Poor Bunker shot, Chipped on and putted it in.
Turned a likely 4 into a 6.

2. 6 - Bogey. Bad Tee shot but it went straight. Laid up, put it on, and 3 putted.

3. 4 - Bogey. Pushed the tee shot right. Chipped on, 2 putted.

4. 6 - Double Bogey. Open Tee shot so comfortable drive. Green is a double green (shares the green with the 16th hole). Put it to around 100 feet away and 4 putted.

5. 2 - Birdie. Great Tee shot to 6 feet. Made the putt.

6. 4 - Par. 2 great hybrid shots, 2 putted.

7. 3 - Par. Good shot to left edge. Good 2 putt.

8. 6 - Bogey. Hit 3 good shots. Then 3 putted.

9. 6 - Double Bogey - Great tee shot leaving 100 yards. Hit my approach short. Chipped over the green. 3 putted. Including one from 3 foot.

+8. Happy with the score but it could have been a lot better. The new Mizuno JPX EZ hybrids are amazing.

Went out and walked 18 today, and I was able to carry over the success that I had on the back 9 on Saturday. Outside of some issues with my 3 wood off the tee on a couple holes I played extremely well, and just got better as the round went on. Played the last 5 in at +1 with a bogie and 4 pars, and it could have easily been under par. I had legit (15 foot or shorter) birdie putts on 4 of the last 5 holes, but I made none of them at least somewhat thanks to recently aerated greens + lots of debris on greens (those stupid helicopter leaves were all over the course today). Feels really good to actually go out and play golf rather than just hack it around the course all day.

40 (par 35). No birdies, 1 double. Hit the ball decent but putted poorly.

been playing w the same tm rac tp mbs for a long time..2 wks ago they get stolen out of my truck. luckily i have the 'same' set as a back-up w just a driver-- but w different grips(really used to the soft winns now) crazy what a little difference can make--literally hitting the ball like a 1/4"+to the toe so annoying. found a bullseye putter to replace the one i've used for like 20yrs....still need to replace a couple wedges/my fk'ing 1 iron i loved--guess i'm going to check out some new drivers/woods as well.

anyway-played a little 9 hole course(33) near me today. hit a 36/34.
