That's some nice improvement. If you want to geek out on how changes in your stats affect total distance check out this site I just found yesterday: http://flightscope.com/products/trajectory-optimizer/

Anyone order golf balls online? I've used UnlimitedGolfBalls.com in the past but I don't know if their prices have climbed a bit. I usually buy their 4A condition balls and they have been good in the past. I ship to WA and drive down over the border to get them.

Best eBay seller I've dealt with in golf balls is lupinacci64. His 5a balls are always perfect.

Next would be golfballnut.

I played Saddle Rock in Aurora for the first time this weekend. Really nice course, with some really hard holes. I played the back tees and the rating was 74.6/140 or something like that. It's in suburb condition right now.

If you want a really Colorado-ey experience go down to Arrowhead.

If you want to play right in Boulder, Flatirons is better than you would think for the local muni course. Always in excellent shape. It's a very tight older course with big mature trees.

Holler at me if you have questions about any other courses in the area or other things to do in Boulder.
Saddle Rock is a brute, I kinda of hate some of those holes. Murphy Creek is about the same length and I like it a lot more.

For the money I would play Bear Dance but it's about 1.25hrs from Boulder.

Shot 86. Fun and nice course so thanks for that. Took a while to get used to the distance difference but would definitely play again

True. Its actually in Lafayette. The only hole I don't like is #7, which is a goofy par 4. I'm not sure what Hale Irwin was thinking when he designed that one.

I played it once. Neat course, fun to play, but kind of gimmicky. Worth checking out though.

By gimmicky I mean there is a random incinerator in the middle of the first fairway:

Some holes have big rocks in the fairway:

I hear people call fossil trace gimmicky pretty often really. But the incinerator and those rocks on 10 are like never in play unless you really mess up.

maybe it's an ancient indian incinerator :/

I've played fossil trace a few times. I enjoy the course. I really like hole 10. The course is fun because there are a lot of raised and lowered greens. The course is not flat and simple..

Deer Creek is another nice foothills course that is easy and quick to get to from anywhere in the city. Its right on the side of the highway c470 but you don't know the highway is there.

Had my stag party yesterday. Had an 8 iron duck taped to my hand and wasn't allowed to use any other club all day. Only got 12 holes in. +8 on the front, 5 beers. Parred 10 (short par 3) with the closest to the pin, and had the longest drive of the group on more than one occasion.

Played a new Paul Albanese casino/resort course called Tatanka (Native for Buffalo) in Niobrara, NE that had an Indian burial ground in the middle of a fairway. Was part of purchase agreement not to disturb certain aspects of the land. There's a couple holes that have fenced in buffalo as well.

Probably the toughest course I've ever played too. There's lots of elevation change and no rough. Just fairway and the thickest fescue I've ever played. In fact, the edge of the fairway where first cut should be is designed to burn out.

Nebraska is a hidden gem for great, reasonably priced courses. They have these sand hills that render the land too infertile to farm but too rugged to ranch. Essentially the perfect golf course land.

These photos make me want to go back ASAP. Last 3 photos were from The Prairie Club that only cost $382 for 2 days unlimited golf and one night's lodging on site with free breakfast. (2 18 holes courses plus HORSE gambling course)

Amazing pictures. Don`t know how much one would have to pay for that sort of deal in more popular places in the US, but that price does seem reasonable.

That place looks awesome. Playing on a burial ground seems like bad ju ju though.

Nebraska courses remind me a lot of Ballyneal in holyoak Colorado, not too far away. And much pricier.

The club where I learned to play had a few barely marked graves off in the woods on #5 (IIRC). My friends and I (ages ~10-13) occasionally hit errant drives near/onto them--and played from them. No good ever came to any of us after that.
