The U.S. Kids golf stuff is pretty good. By pretty good I mean easy to fit. They fit all of their clubs based on how tall kids are. Can't really go wrong.

I rarely gush about a club and rarely change, but IMO this will be a game changer.

A 5 h/c from my club managed to get an hour with one at the range with his instructor this week. He said it was the best driver he had ever used. He's one of the longest hitters in the club and said he averaged 308. He's currently trying to work out how he is going to pay for one lol!

I got a chance to hit the M1 last friday. We had both the 430 and 460 and 6 different shafts I think. My honest opinion is that it isn't any better than any of the other Drivers on the market. The PGA pro was hitting it right next to me and said the same thing as me. "I'll stick to my Titleist." He was having trouble keeping the ball in the air with it until he got the right shaft in it and still had to, as he said, "change the way he released the club". Then he started bombing it, but claimed he wasn't impressed. To me it felt like every other TM driver I've ever had/hit. Flush shots felt hot off the face and bombed, but less control... YMMV

The thing is one badass looking club though.

Very nice, congrats! I've done that once! I've got two eagles ever, one was where I managed to get to a par 5 in two then sink the putt, the other was a 320 or so yard par 4 and I was maybe 40 out and holed the pitch. I wonder if I'll ever ace a par 3. We'll see. What happened in yours?

First impressions on game golf. It is smaller than I thought it would be, fits in your palm. You can't even feel it while swinging. The tags are a bit of a pain to get on but that should make them hard to fall off. It took me about 15 mins entering my clubs online and getting the tags assigned, all fairly easy. Took about 2 hours to charge the first time and lasted all round but I think you need to charge after each round, again not a big deal.

The unit vibrates when you tag it and doesn't take much effort. I think it missed 1 tag all day. Made it really easy to track without me writing down distance to hole after every shot like I was doing before. I haven't really gone and looked deep into the stats it generates since I only have one round, I will do that in a week or 2 when I at least have 10 rounds.

There are a couple things about it I don't like. It really isn't made for tracking your putt distances. If you track strokes gained putting like I do you will still +have to write the distance down but that isn't a huge deal. The other thing is if you are an elite golfer with your yardages dialed in to the exact yard this probably isn't for you. I would say it seemed accurate +/- 2 or 3 yards. That works for me but someone like ship won't get a bunch of useful data they probably don't already know.

Overall I say it is worth the purchase for someone wanting to take their golf seriously and keep careful stats, it is simple and I only paid just over a $100 since I got it on sale. I will update this again after using it for a bit.

here is round from today

Battery is good for about 10 hours, so 2 rounds should be fine.

I thought mine was faulty as it would show 'low battery' even after a 9 hole round, but after some googling I found that they're intentionally (or so they say) showing 'low battery' whenever it has below 90% charge "to remind you to charge".

Which is either a really stupid decision or a really bad excuse for not being able to give an accurate battery reading.

Wind howling straight behind us. Hole is 330 but plays much shorter, kind of a bendy fairway and then a big dip. Can't see the green from the tee, but there are 3 bunkers like 150 out that you can use as a sightline. I usually hit iron to the fairway and usually leave a good gap wedge yardage, but wind at the dick, may as well go for it.

Immediately lost it off the clubface, but one of my playing partners saw it and said it was good. Said it was heading at the right bunker but drawing (want to aim for the middle bunker), said it will probably be short of the green.

We get up there and it's about 25 feet past the hole and a bit right, but a pretty sexy line regardless. Maybe 2 cups outside the right edge, jarred it. Probably would have rolled it off the green if it didn't hit the hole.

Fistpumped as I walked towards the hole, my buddy put his hand up for a highfive, but I still had a fist going. I changed to an open hand, but he changed to a fist. We both doubled back, so he just kinda grabbed my closed fist and it was awkward af.

In other news, I finally found a copy of Links LS 2000 and got it installed on my computer. Was more excited about that than the eagle tbh.

That was such an awesome game, way ahead of its time.

If you really want to nerd out there is software that lets you build and play your own courses or remodel one.

I remember playing PGA Tour golf. I think PGA was out just before Nicklaus. I remember having to hit driver on one of the Par 3's at PGA West. Tough hole.

Any recommendations on where to trade in used clubs? I see Rock Bottom is having a 50% additional trade-in offer right now. My G25 driver and 5 wood would get me $135. Looking to get the M1.

Browsed this a little. Their trade-in prices are already pretty decent. With the extra 50%, you're definitely not going to find better than that.

I couldn't find when this ended?

I did some research as well and found a GolfSmith location near me that offers slightly better trade in amounts, as long as they consider my clubs in "very good" condition. I'm also gonna try the Edwin Watts store near me.

Does this program enter in fairways/greens hit for you, or do you have to do it manually?

It does it for you but not always 100% accurate when it is really close. But when you plug it into your computer it brings it up and you can review it before you digitally sign it and it posts. I have found it to be fairly accurate though. Not perfect and if you are a plus handicap player then it probably wont be great for you, but mostly I find it accurate to about +/- 2 yards which is enough for most people.
