I might show up and watch live, that way I can yell "get in the hole!!!" every time they tee off on a par 5.

We have had 2+2 outings in the DFW area. Nobody got hurt.

re: 2p2 Open

I'd be more likely to make the trip if it was at somewhere really cool such as Bandon.

I want to have a BO/ARC round but have it arranged without them knowing and have ARC give BO a tip every couple holes.

Ya Vegas seems like an obvious choice - I just don't personally care for Vegas much. I'd much prefer something cool like Bandon, Whistling Straits, Pinehurst, Arcadia Bluffs over Vegas.

This was my thought as well, but Bandon seems pretty awesome. Me, personally am not a huge fan of Vegas but it does make the most sense.

"BO, you're hitting a baby draw 280 in the fairway on every hole. We got a par 5 dogleg right coming up that you can reach with a good tee shot. Let's work on hitting a cut shot. Here, watch me."

BO: I'm hitting that tight draw on every hole because that's what Bobby Jones did on every shot.

ARC: Bobby Jones sucked! Hell, he wasn't even a professional so he couldn't have been that good.

Meh, titles don't impress me. What I would have actually said was "That guy played back when like the entire tour was 8 fat white guys who all knew eachother." or something.

ARC: *5 hour rant about how he doesn't know wtf he's talking about*

I haven't carried my 3i in a while. Not because of what anyone here told me but because I was given a RBZ wood and it looks nicer in my bag. Even though I never use it.

My current bag is:
RBZ Tour 9 driver
Adams 3h
RBZ wood 3 or 5 can't remember don't use it.
4i-9i
PW/AW/SW/LW
Putt

And before anyone gives me **** for carrying 4 wedges. I love it. Carrying less than 4 wedges has to be wrong for any player. Whether or not you can add or remove yardages to your wedges if you are between clubs.

So "The other one looks nicer" was reason enough to take the 3i out of the bag...got it.

I haven't carried a 4-iron for several years now, much easier to hit a hybrid. But obviously ARC is a much better long iron player than I am.

But I am content in the fact I carry 4 wedges as well, so now I know I made the right decision there without question.

As far as being happy with the setup and the hell with what others think, all I can say is ignorance is bliss. Being happy is fine, but some logical club decisions can definitely make one a better golfer. But some people aren't interested in improving, and that's OK.

No. The acquisition of a 15th (wood) club was.

I know nobody listened to me last time when we argued about my 3-iron but I said I didn't have a replacement club (15th club) anyway. So outside of buying a new club, the alternative to not carrying the 3iron was carrying 13 clubs.

My FIL gave me the wood which I felt was very generous. I'd feel bad not carrying it. And besides it's a great backup if something happens to my driver mid-round or I'm just not hitting it at all.

I said I don't use it but I didn't say I would never use it.

Old arguments are dumb though.

Let's get into a new one:

People who carry only 3 wedges are playing -EV golf. Discuss.

I carry 4 wedges and 15 clubs total, but looking to drop my 4 iron and keeping my 3&4 hybrids in the bag for as long as I can.

Ive gone through phases where I have carried 3 and 4 wedges and I just prefer 4 wedges. My setup is driver 3 wood, 18* hybrid 4-pw, 50 54 58 and it works out well for me.

No idea if it is -EV though. I see both sides of the coin. For the average pro they definitely dont need 4 wedges if they dont want since they are so dialed in with their wedges it is pretty ridiculous. I think it would help the amateurs a ton but Im not sure to what extent because I know plenty of people that only use wedge around the green no matter what and nothing else (some good some bad). My buddy only uses a 58 around the green and he gets it up and down from literally everywhere
