Buggies with GPS screen ftw, so all drives good be measured.

The green where unfortunately in horrible condition.
How difficult was it converting to meters?

Very easy :-)

(I play in Denmark, so everything is in meters here too, also I use my range finder, I dont trust yardage sticks or GPS, I often get some odd looks when I stand right next to the 100 meter stick and measure anyway, for me its a preshot thing)

A simple, but fairly accurate, way to do it is just to add or subtract 10%.

Subtract 10% for yards to meters, add 10% for meters to yards.

For example, with that method 200 meters works out to 220 yards - in reality it's 218.7 yards.

I'm sure it's mostly just warmer weather, but it's been very nice to regain about 20 yards on my irons the last two times out. Actually hitting the ball on the face is helpful.

Still the shortest hitter on the internet, though.

True. And I got excited because I got 130 yards out of a 9 iron today.

I love little life hacks like this. Thank you.

How many of you currently game a Bettinardi putter? Just curious. Also for the people that work/own shops, can you get an acct with Betti? What are their prices at cost if anyone knows. PM if need be

Some day I'm going to fix my swing so my tired, lazy miss isn't a duck hook.

Also, decent demo day next weekend. Thinking about getting some new hybrids and I'll probably hit the drivers too - like mine OK but some interior weight busted off so it rattles.

Are you saying you average less than 290 with your driver? Wow. Do you even lift, bro?

Had a lesson last week and now I can't make clean contact more than one out of three swings. Standard?

I had a big over the top move we are working on getting rid of along with a major breaking of my wrists at the top of my back swing that was compensatory.

Next time you really have to say 300, not 290.

But the 290 is straight as an arrow. Internet average for errant tee shots is 310-325. Hardpan conditions at elevation you're talking 345-365.

brother made a dumb bet with me last night..

im a straight up 2-ball scramble.

he's a 2-ball scramble but he has to take the worst shot every time, I get to choose. also included putts so he had to make both putts. also, I gave him a shot every hole.

ended up winning by 13. strangely (smartly?) enough, I had handicapped the strokes I should give him at 13 and just opened at 9 which he jumped on.

he golfed pretty well too, 2 doubles, one par and the rest bogies. it's just too much to overcome when you have to make 8 good shots for par..

first tee he crushes his first drive down the middle, second drive he pushed into the water..then it hit him.

good times tho, fun bet. I'd probably give him 11.5 next time, I was -3 with no real mistakes so I was just about maxed out.

I think he's a 4. I'm an 11/12.

it was also on a really ****ty/easy course that we go to a handful of times a year to screw around on.

but yeah, I don't think he'll be offering that bet again. can't screw up basically any shot.

he was gonna offer me that plus I could take his ball twice during the round and throw it as far as I could in any direction and he'd have to play it from there...

I straight told him, 'straight OOB to where your drop ends up behind a tree' so I talked him out of it. woulda been fun too..

Making a 15 footer and having to make the next one would suck soooo bad

Yea it's brutal. Played 10 holes yesterday and was +7 I think hitting the ball OK. Hit a par 5 in two and was excited about a good birdie shot. Then 4 putted for bogey. Brutal.

yeah the making both putts thing obviously would be killer

seems like it would be fun to do though

better than missing the first one and blowing it by 4 feet.

The beauty is that if you shank your first shot, just head over to it -- no need to hit a second shot

18 shots seems fair for that bet. You shoot shoot close to par and he'll struggle to play bogey golf

If you hit it out of bounds and not save par, does that count as 0 of 1 in the scrambles statistics?

nah you gotta hit the second bc it could be worse! lol

and yeah, 1 shot/hole sounds right for the two of us in that bet..I ran above expectation being -3 over 9. I made two 15-footers and like I said, he hit one drive in the only water in play on the course and doubled another one he shouldn't have.
