You don't always have to say dai mai after using khor but mostly as you are usually asking for something and dai mai means can so makes sense i guess.
hmm I would rather say: khor naam hai noi or just khor naam noi
Ive never heard people using dai mai when they ask for something.

And using pom is needless also.

Yesturday might have been the first time I got realy drunk without beeing raped. Spiv talk a lot about how its rape if someone don't pay a hooker, but I've been taken advantage of countless times by hooker, and paying for it the day after. My rape count is like -45 or something

Last edited by Testi; 04-12-2013 at 01:17 AM. Reason: Feel like less of a man. I'm only bitter. Would have been a happy camper if I had been raped. Same everyday

they have happy hour all you can drink at nana plaza for 600 (i think).. I forget the exact hours... something like 1-8PM, they give you a bracelet, similar to going to a amusement park for unlimited rides, and it allows you to drink outside or any of the gogo bars that are open.. pretty good deal if you can drink a lot..

I would guess there alot of food options and gyms close by. Just because its the last BTS stop, meaning its going to have alot of people living in that area, as the cheapest places to live while still being close to the BTS. So food and at least a gym will be there to cater to these bustos. Im sure some school teachers live here too. Dont expect the restaurants to be anything amazing though, they will just be your bog standard ones nothing to great. There will lots of sheeet food as well (this is all an assumption)

I wouldn't want to live there, I no 0 people around there, while i know 20+ around sukhumvit, but your french canuk. You phags all stay together, so I guess you could prob make a poker house in bearing full of your kind, never make an effort to meet other players or expats, and have one big circle jerk in the living room of your 4 bedroom you all paid 25k for in total.

Is this true? When did it start? Sounds like a bargain imo. Does it include the bar beers downstairs too?

think of "ao" as want and "khor" as may I if you have trouble separating the two.

All this info is pointing to me getting a pal to take me round for a couple of days. Im sure on of my friends will have a Thai friend that wanna earn a few quid for a couple of days translation work.
I will be interested to hear if you are successful in getting a get out clause after 6 months in your lease.

Good luck with the apartment hunting.

100% sure you don't need to know those. you arent going to get them to turn left or right faster or give a lower long time price based on knowing them.

forget everything and throw in a few good openers or icebreakers. dont know what they'd be....but
bah-ee mai-ee (pretty bad translit) and mah tinee will get at least a smirky acknowledgement from a semi-pro if said in an admiring, drawn out way.

come with me. come here respectively i think?

just saved myself 300+ baht. cops at the macdonalds sign in lamai. im out cruising for a snack between poker session, see some lights and what may be a cop stop, so quick thinking me pulls into resort on left. road goes nowhere so i have to turn around. see everyone just driving on towards no helmets so im wonderin if im seeing things, is there a cop stop? poke my nose out, poke my nose out, poke my nose out, cant see ****. Am about to turn toward them then hear a whistle and I gtfo the other way. unless he has wheels on that whistle he isnt catching me.

would suck to get caught running but I could legit ay I was leaving a resort the other way, didnt know what whistle was about...some ind of songkran thing?

I got bahts in my pockets and I dont know what to do with them. bahts in my pockets, bahts in my pockets.

had 3 beer if they were breathalyzing might have been hooped for more.

bahts in my pockets

I think dai mai is used more for skills etc.
Can you swim? - wai naam dai mai?

In given situations its better to say noi or hai noi.
She explains this subcject well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7g0DGVflCM

I asked my gf if should I say " pom ao..." or just "ao..." in restaurant. She answered that pom in this situation is needless. If situation is obvious thais skip pronouns like pom, kun etc. They say verb without any pronoun.
What do you eat? - Kun gin arai? but in most cases it is obvious so thais just say "Gin arai?"
Where do you go? - Kun pai tii nai? changes into Pai tii nai? or just Pai nai?
