Looks like a decent buff to DW Cleave? Could be fun once the league matures a bit and well-rolled weapons are cheaper.

Any word on the cleave buff? Im assuming that the base damage % was increased.

EDIT: Found this on the forums

Cleave now reads: When Dual Wielding, Deals 65% Damage from each Weapon combined

So the base effectiveness (when using 2h) is 100% (up from 80%) The DW effectiveness was upped from 60% to 65%. Doesn't specify phys damage so it should still apply to ele damage.

I'm not exactly sure how the cleave mechanic works, but it looks like a huge buff. I'm check it out when I figure out why my steam won't open.

EDIT2: Checked out on live client. Grabbed 2 axes and a level 1 cleave. Auto attack MH hits 65-113 physical, Cleave main hand hits 32-56, so it seems to follow that dual wielding takes 60% of the 80% base (48% damage effectiveness). With those cleave changes, it goes from 48% to 65%, about a 35% damage cleave buff with dual wielding.
Seems pretty decent

Realised today that my SLI video cards weren't working because one of the cards exploded. Could have been at any point in the past 2 years...

So, bought a midrange 2014 video card to go with my i2700k etc from 30 months ago. Reformatted HDD. Turned textures off. Booked time off work. Decided on build (I'll just do dual totem & magic find for a week and see what other people have figured out, if I survive that long). I'm ready.

Anyone else going to play a lot at the start? As much as I like 2 + 2, I might go look for a guild with lots of people... I should have the FPS & the build to actually work in parties now.

Also, anyone tried buying league exalts with standard/hardcore exalts? I have like 50 exalt in HC and although very little currency in SC, quite a lot of decent gear.

Some chinese dataminer assessed orb drop rates, seems actually legit, here are his results:

Item Rate
Orb of Transmutation 0.20831
Armourer's Scrap 0.20827
Blacksmith's Whetstone 0.11095
Orb of Augmentation 0.10328
Orb of Alteration 0.05508
Orb of Chance 0.05508
Jeweller's Orb 0.05508
Chromatic Orb 0.05508
Orb of Fusing 0.03443
Orb of Alchemy 0.02754
Cartographer's Chisel 0.02754
Chaos Orb 0.01652
Orb of Scouring 0.01377
Vaal Orb 0.00689
Orb of Regret 0.00689
Glassblower's Bauble 0.00682
Gemcutter's Prism 0.00275
Blessed Orb 0.00275
Regal Orb 0.00207
Exalted Orb 0.00055
Divine Orb 0.00034
Eternal Orb 0.00001
Mirror of Kalandra <0.00001

source: http://accorddb.no-ip.org/poetw/item...+Transmutation (it's in chinese)

Funny enough I've had one exalted lifetime while I remember around 4-5 divines dropping. RNG will RNG. Also to me exalted orb feels way rarer than just 5 times as rare as blessed/regal/gcp

That's relative drop rates - so if an orb drops, it's a transmute 20.831% of the time. So it depends how often orbs drop really. Aren't wisdoms/portals counted as currency too?

Do you know how he collected it?

So I downloaded the Taiwan version to check out some of the boss fights. They're pretty cool! Only beat Act 1 so far so I haven't seen everything. They definitely feel like more of a boss fight with crazy **** happening instead of just one dude to kill.

Unlike other Masters, Zana is not encountered until you reach end-game Maps. When you find her in a Map, she's standing next to her own Map Device and gives you a mission to complete a sub-Map with a specific objective (examples of which are shown in the IGN Zana video). Once you've helped her once, she appears in the Eternal Laboratory for you to talk to.

As a vendor, she sells Maps of various types. She's a great vendor to check periodically for deals on Maps. Like other vendors, at high levels she can sell Unique maps.

Her hideout is themed around the Solaris Temple and due to her high level and relatively difficult reputation curve, it has some of the most impressive decorations to unlock (which can be used in other Hideouts, of course).

Her crafting object is your own personal Map Device. This device lets you run Maps from your hideout with your friends without having to travel to the Eternal Laboratory. Your own hideout is often more convenient because you can put your stash and master vendors nearby.

The Map Device that Zana provides allows you to either run a map with a free bonus to item quantity proportional to her level (from 2% to 8%), which is a strict advantage over using the Eternal Laboratory. You're also able to run a map with an amped up version of one of the previous challenge league mods on it. These vary in price but can be extremely powerful. For example, the version of Nemesis that we're testing currently has an additional rare monster (with Nemesis mod) in every pack. It should be noted that the personal Map Device opens the Map in your hideout with the additional mod, rather than crafting the mod into the Map for later use.

Helping Zana means a lot of additional access to Maps! Her missions involve sub-Maps, her Daily Missions are essentially a free Map and her vendor inventory is well stocked. The bonuses she provides for mappers stack on top of the existing properties of Maps and let you massively increase the risk and reward of Maps that you run.

I love how at first I thought it's another of troll builds of him (he's known to make some pretty hilarious builds), especially that he's doing that on Taiwanese servers and it's a 'flask' build in the title.

From the 1.2.0 patch notes:

Quote:
Beyond: Beyond is a Hardcore league (characters who die are converted to Standard characters). In the Beyond league, demons from another realm are attempting to invade Wraeclast. Monster kills have a chance to cause small portals to appear. If enough portals spawn close together, a larger portal opens and demons flow forth. Several of those larger portals close together can open a third tier that results in one of several truly terrifying entities to emerge.
Quote:
Strongboxes can now spawn in all leagues, starting from the Submerged Passage in Normal difficulty. The weightings of each Strongbox type has been adjusted with ordinary Strongboxes being much more common than other variants. Mods for these Strongboxes have been adjusted. Cartographer's Boxes now have lower values of some Strongbox mods.
Quote:
The Invasion monster pack and guest-monster system has been made standard for the entire game. Early areas have some new monster varieties as a result, and there's more monster diversity in later difficulties.
Quote:
Some Invasion bosses have been reintroduced as regular unique monsters:
The Guardian of the Mound has been rebalanced and added to The Prisoner's Gate.
Spinesnap has been rebalanced and added to the Slums Sewers.
The Revenant has been rebalanced and added to The Docks.
Tailsinger has been rebalanced and added to The Riverways.
Kall Foxfly has been rebalanced and added to The Blackwood.
Quote:
Chickens have been added to the Forest Encampment.

These are from the pre-patch notes at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...eview?sle=true

Quote:
Player life per level has been increased from 8 to 12.
Quote:
All cases of “snapshotting” have been fixed. If you change your items or support gems, then any persistent effects of skills (for example, minions or auras) will update to reflect the changes. You no longer gain benefit from items or gems that are not currently equipped.
Quote:
Shock and Shocked Ground have been changed so that they cause 50% increased damage taken (rather than 30%) but no longer stack. They do not stack with each other either. "Cannot Be Shocked" now prevents players being affected by either Shocked Ground or Shock itself.
Quote:
The Reduced Mana support gem is now available for all classes as a quest reward.
Quote:
The mana cost of all skills has been revised. In general most skills have had their mana costs reduced. Much of the mana cost reduction is focused on skill levels that fall between player levels 20 and 40.
Quote:
Vaal skills can no longer be supported by Trigger Gems.
