You don't know when song of the siren will be released, so you might just have to key mash. I'm not sure if he was spamming for bkb, blink, or spell steal though. Already forgot the details of that game.

I believe he spammed force staff to get out of ravage range then stole ravage blinked in and used it.

The funny thing is you can just shift que when you're asleep and then the action will be instantly when naga cancels her ult. That way you're always faster than the other team who has to time it manually.

Probably just a bad habit from wc3, but I don't like to shift queue because of long animation times making my actions slower. I'm used to doing everything manually so that I can animation cancel.

I only shift queue TP's and tango eating. Most other stuff I'm like you, I animation cancel. I'm not really sure what other cases are good to use shift queue actually, the Naga ult is a good tip.

I afk'd in the fountain one game, but made sure to come back a few times to move my hero, and it still gave me an abandon. Guess you need to actually get kills or something? Also, is there a patrol command in dota 2 that I can use?

Interview with Sheever with my friend and I. She is so hot in person. Long legs nice body. International was amazing.

Haha, awesome. I don't normally donk it up for gamer girls, but I have a bit of a crush on Sheever as well. She's cute and doesn't seem to really be attention whoring at all, just likes Dota. She's casted plenty of rinky dink tournaments and the like.

Sick event, 10/10 would watch again!

Some surprising upsets (Zenith/LGD) in the event and some teams which did much better than I thought (EHOME/Tongfu/EG/coL), really liked iG's gank lineups that they pulled off

what's the learning curve like in dota 2 if you have played dota semi-regularly for many years?
DOTA 2 Quote

you only need to learn what the new icons/animations are

Basically what aK13 said, but it also depends on when you were playing dota. If you started playing near the beginning and not within the last 3 - 4 years there will be a good amount of heroes you will be unfamiliar with.

like 5 games maybe. Or like 2.

Not much though.

The dota 2 interface is also pretty superior to wc3 dota, so even though it's a pain at first you're happier for it in the end.

I just got a dota2 key two days ago. Have no dota/lol/hon/etc. experience whatsoever, so I'm obviously really bad, but if anyone wants to carry me or give pointers I'd definitely appreciate any help!

Also, watched The International without knowing the game at all and still enjoyed it immensely which is why I went and got a code in the first place. Definitely not disappointed!

My bro's been waiting forever to get a key, he still hasn't gotten one yet from Steam. I have my own, but would love to get another one. Does anyone have an extra key for my brother?

Keys are also available cheaply in the form of trading. I've seen 2-3 Dota treasure keys for 1 invite. Treasure keys are $2.50 on Steam.

2 keys per invite is the standard right now, so basically $5 for beta access. Or you could pay 30 bucks through the dota shop.

See, that's the thing. I already have Dota 2. A friend sent me an invite a long time ago and I've been playing, but where can I give out invites?

You can't. Just buy one for 5 bucks if you really want him to play now.

alright im playing, first couple games are painful in just the randomness of getting people who go 0-15 and never played before.

and disconnects

-_-

ps: the camera movement is way worse than hon's not sure why. but its really bad.

pps: why does it take me 5 minutes to find a game when im 1-1... what the ****? is there really this few people playing?

It does seem like there are a lot of people who disconnect. I am not really sure about the reason considering on bnet for regular dota there were 0 connection issues for league type games.

Regarding the camera I would try changing the speed and acceleration. When I first started playing dota 2 it took me a while to get used to the difference. I am not sure how it is in hon but it may be possible to somewhat replicate.

Your account is new so maybe there are a lot of new players who leave games thus their accounts get into low priority. I am not exactly sure how the match making works but maybe it is avoiding these players thus the actual pool is smaller.

It usually takes me 2 - 3 mins to find a game, but I think i am in the "high" bracket.
