In case anyone missed the game (not a spoiler), but Slesh stated that last year the Chinese thought the $1.6m prize pool was a scam. They apparently didn't "train" very much because the prize pool was so large. I thought that was interesting.

Draft announcer actually proonounces the picking team's name
group stage is 14 games

I don't really follow comp dota, but I told my friend the finals would be 2 chinese teams. Looking that way so far.

Top 10 would be

1. NaVi
2. Zenith
3. LGD
4. CLG
5. EG
6. Darer ( Can beat anyone more regularly but Godkillthemall needs to be in prime form)
7. mTw
8. DK ( again, needs BurNing needs to have extremely good games. He is the best carry/farmer in the game so thats why DK is so high for me)
9. EHOME
10. (Insert chinese team here). Whether its IG or Tongfu, all 5 chinese teams are top 10.
fk. I just went to post up the current Zenith ranking and they've played themselves back today to 5-5 impressively enough.

Real top 10 so far:

1. LGD
2. iG
3. DK
4. TF
5. Orange
6. CLG
7. Zenith
8. NaVi
9. EG
10. EHOME

I'm still rooting for NaVi but am a bit worried for them after seeing the Chinese dominance. Though I know NaVi is not playing anywhere close to their best form, their teamwork and focus is quite off compared their DotA 2 play earlier in the year imo.

Also this year the Chinese teams boot camped for 3 months on LAN against each other on DotA 2. (according to an iG player in a video)

Hahaha. LGD were always gna rock it.

NaVi will still be a major contender. EG, Mouz and mTw biggest dissapointments imo. EG have an excellent roster but Maelk under performing imo.

Darer been unlucky imo but still with G in there team, anything can ahppen. Zenith yes bad start but recovered well.

I got my rankings pretty well imo.

BurNing/Sylar been 2 best players

EG actually doing pretty well all things considering. They have a decent chance of making winner's bracket.

Tomorrow's Navi vs Tongfu and Ehome vs Orange matches will be epic.

that was some brutally ****ty dota i just saw

Tongfu tries to trade farm with NP and brood vs AM and DS, and ends up behind like 150cs in 10 minutes

Ehome's AM decides to go for mid t1 tower instead of defending rax

these english commentators are so tilting

i want to keep the camera with them so i can see what they are talking about

but multiple times the camera has been on AM farming instead of where the remaining 9 heroes are fighting

Do you have the link for that? I do not believe all the chinese teams boot camped for 3 months. I think maybe the entire duration was over a span of 3 months, but I think they played / practice regular dota 1 in between.

LGD is playing perfect which I sort of expected but not to this extent. DK is playing much better in Dota 2 from the last time i saw them. EG, CLG, and Zenith are all not doing as well I thought they would but considering there are 5 amazing teams in their bracket, someone has to lose games. coL playing way better than I expected.

Burning, Sylar, Chuan, Ferrari, and Yao have all been playing way above everyone else imo.

Ferrari played mid with his puck vs invoker and came out tied in creep kills after ~10 min or so.

Ic. They definitely played Dota 1 less than 2 weeks ago at the ACE tournament. I think they just constantly switched on and off. I thought it was interesting that it sounds like LightofHeaven (one of the interviewers I believe) mentioned that Chuan tells Zhou what items to buy.

Another interesting thing, LGD has their carry call all their plays out, instead of the captain. Cool stylistic difference, and may be part of the reason why they are 14-0 right now.

Saw that game live yesterday. Ferrari is amazing on TA. If you look at most BTS games, Ferrari is in the intro with TA hitting an invis brood player 3 times I believe with the psi blades. Absolutely sick.

Pretty good game between Na'vi and coL below. Dendi on pudge.

I have a hard time playing qop mid vs ta. I don't think I'm supposed to, but I find that the dot from ss is too slow, and you just take insane damage from making only 1 mistake (as in, taking only 1 hit).
