over 100 kills in liquid-dd game 2. Disappointing commentating from ayesee & draskyl though, I guess they just had a hard time keeping up.

ha, you're friends with lacoste! i'm always impressed with that guy's cs score in games. gets to ridiculously high numbers.

lacoste was one of the elite long langers for ages. but kinda lost it with the transition over to dota 2. Couldn't find a stable team.

Check out the dota 2 forums (or reddit too prob). Usually there are some guys who are looking to run organized 5s that need an extra player or two. You can find one that fits your schedule.

Transition from pubs to competitive play is steep. So get ready for a bumpy ride. Positioning > everything else.

According to EE, if you really want to scrim at a competitive level (like TI3), you have to be able to play on Europe servers. I'm US so I get 220ms on that. Never tried to actually play on that, not sure if it would work.

I think its really hard to get into the top tier level of play if you aren't already in the current setup. So I don't think it really matters on what server you play on if you aren't already there.

i can't help but think that valve is just hemorrhaging money by taking their sweet ass time releasing this game

LoL is going to have the entire market share by the time it comes out

This game should have been free to play without a beta key a long, long, long time ago

You act like dota is dying or something. You should see the ridiculous amount of money they make off of cosmetics right now.

I am rather curious as to why they haven't released. It seems like the investment in infrastructure necessary to support the million+ players would be outweighed by their huge cosmetic sales numbers.

i am quite certain they left piles and piles and piles of money on the table over the last year

I agree. Not releasing seems nuts when you consider what kind of following LoL gets with their tourneys and streams. It's so incredibly easy to get a beta key now. I really don't get why it's taking so long or why they feel it's a good strategy to wait.

thats what i don't understand, when they gave everyone 6 beta keys they made the game essentially F2P, but you have to know someone

why not just open it to the public at that point and get every tom dick and harry in there without qualification

watching bloodseeker in a pro match is pretty amusing.

Or they would've ruined their product before the system was ready for full on traffic.

Try scrimming vs the Chinese or on SEA servers. They are far better than euro players now.

mid-level chinese players are way worse than mid-level western players. By mid level I mean people on lower half of very high bracket.

just my experience at least.

By scrim I mean play against a competitive team. Any of the higher tier teams would obliterate the euro teams now. Zenith is always up for a scrim and they can be contacted via their website. I think Orange does the same as well and they are both very good.

No point scrimming if you're playing on MM vs randoms while you play on a team.

Edit: I can't judge euro players in MM since I can't play on those servers.

Whats the point in scrimming one of those teams when your just going to lose 55387-0? Scrim against teams that are similar, not too much of a gap.

Yeah which is why I also said you should scrim vs chinese or sea competitive teams. If you want to be competitive, play against competitive teams. First departure, Aeon, ABC etc. If Zenith is easily available I'm sure lower tier teams are easily approachable as well.

Also there is so much to learn by getting stomped by someone else. I learned how to attack a hero without getting creep aggroed when I got manhandled by Yamateh solomid in dota1 while he was playing for kingsurf.

But that stuff you should already know? You won't learn how to play as a team and what to do in certain situations, when they are just stomping you.
