WTF? Did they have footage of him actually calling one? That's insane.

I think it depends a lot on their QB ankle rolling problem. They might have WRs throwing the ball by the time we play them. But then again, we'll probably lose 15 more players to arrests and stupid ****.

wrt the carolina game, ya they def should have been able to take care of business. That timeout at the end of the first half was insane. Hate to admit it but scam newton is impressive.

where teh **** did this falcons D come from?
10-09-2011 , 09:50 PM
i dunno but i like it.

Impressive so far. I'm more than a little bit shocked by how the Seahawks showed up today too. I told multiple people that taking the Giants -9.5 this week amounted to printing free money. I figured the decent showing against Atlanta was nothing to really make note of, but they're obviously getting better than the total crap they were during the first couple of weeks. Now 2-3, which makes it a lot more fun to go to our next game in Cleveland in two weeks. Battling to try to get back to .500 is a lot better than just watching two ****ty teams play for the hell of it.

I actually decided not to bet that game this week, despite a seemingly juicy line.

9ers -3 was a pretty nice one tho...

My fantasy fb opponent this week has Matthew Stafford at QB, backed up by Adrian Peterson and Frank Gore at RB. Sooooo... I'm ****ed unless stafford gets really pick-happy tomorrow. I obv have Rodgers
10-09-2011 , 10:23 PM
dude that kick woulda been good from 60-62 yards without much of a problem.

still tho, falcons D rising up big time.
10-09-2011 , 10:32 PM
fwiw the "disko system" covered again today with Carolina +6.5

think that puts it at 4-1 over the last 2 weeks
10-09-2011 , 10:33 PM
im down 25 points with bryant and forte to go, of course its the other kicker in this game that has 11 already while ive got 2.

Yeah, you'll remember Seattle's kicker last week attempting a game-winner from 61 and failing. Today he made one from 51 that probably would have made it 61. It was big within this game, but it made me sigh in remembrance of last week.

oh yeah meanwhile olindo mare who we cut john kasay for was SHORT from just 52

Stafford will be likely to make it out of the first quarter before he gets concussed.

lol penis leg mare
10-09-2011 , 10:41 PM
mare singlehandedly lost the bears game and missed a huge xp today while kasay keeps making everything for the saints. we also had to punt twice from inside the 35 against the cardinals/jaguars. its insane that a kicker could provide so much negative value.
10-09-2011 , 10:46 PM
Mare was so damn good for Seattle. I was upset when we lost him. So...I guess it gives me perverse pleasure to hear that we let him walk just as he had lost it. Meanwhile Hauschka is doing a fine job.

lol @ me starting the bucs defense (-8)

i'm down by 22 in PPR and have stafford + forte vs. best and lions D. should be close.

I was not only AT the game in Milwaukee last night, but I was FRONT ROW right past first base, right on the ****ing field.
It was electric in there, craziest and best game I've ever been to by far(I've also went to opening game at Miller Park in row 7 in whatever year that was, which was also great).

That was an insane game, the crowd was just so pumped and crazy it was great.

In fantasy news, one team is now 1-4, one team is 3-2(2nd best, just lost to undefeated team who is stacked.. that league is stupid. I basically have 2nd locked up but won't get close to touching him).
My other team is 1-3 and up about 40pts, but against Stafford and johnson so its gonna be close.
10-10-2011 , 01:01 PM
I also met Lance Kendricks(Rams TE, played for Wisconsin and graduated last year) at the game last night, he was sitting right behind me.
10-10-2011 , 02:30 PM
that sounds like a lot of fun toph. I went to a world series game when i was a kid and the atmosphere was unlike any other sports event I have ever attended.
10-10-2011 , 02:34 PM
playoff football > WS imo
10-10-2011 , 02:47 PM
The crowds are very different imo. I'd agree that playoff football fans are more intense though.

edit: NCAA fb playoff crowd would >>>>>>>> NFL playoff crowd I think

i'm a HUGE baseball fan. i have mlb.tv or whatever, watch every game (even the meaningless ones) get MiLB box scores sent to me on a daily basis, know stats inside and out, can probably tell you every team's top 15 prospects, etc....

..and if a WS game falls on a sunday or monday and i had to chose i would absolutely watch the football game on TV but attend the baseball game. i really don't enjoy watching baseball on TV; football blows it out of the water.

tbh, i'm not a huge hockey fan but LIVE hockey >> any other sport live. nothing beats sitting near the boards during a vicious check.

Going to a playoff hockey game was by far the best live sporting event I have ever been to. So intense and all the fans are into the game, what made it even better was it was a second round game the year the Avs won the Stanley cup in 2001.

Also if you haven't sat on the glass, I suggest doing that before you die.

i am currently engaged in an exciting debate about using just a regular player who cant kick far when punting from short distances to avoid touchbacks
